  1. Depends on the lenses you plan to use as well. I like a green fiber and it is really sharp for me with Sunbuster Light Purple lenses. Yet that same fiber with Rudy Racing Red or their purple washes out and is too hard for me to see.
  2. The Christmas stage was definitely twisted! There was NOTHING festive about it! 3x 1/3 swinger targets at 35 yards! HO HO HO! There was a static target that was even farther! Cinch de Mayo had a 6" plate at 30+ yards that ate my lunch! I'm still licking my wounds. LOL...we paced it off at 23 yards from the forward fault line. Shot and worked the match, was a lot of fun. Great experience dealing with international shooters.
  3. Nice to hear about this. We have discussed it as well for our clubs. No gotcha's involved at all, look at it as an educational experience for the shooters. Level 1 is just as much about competition as any level match. The idea that it is just for fun, well, why keep score if it is just for fun? Like saying we have to make the Texas Star rotate slower for the new shooters. Clubs agree to abide by USPSA rules when they sign on to do USPSA matches. No smorgasbord here.

I put Warren Tactical front and rears on mine, just like what I have on my G34. Works fine.
  5. Welcome. Let me know where you are located and I can give you some information, or you can visit the web site in the signature and see all the UDSPSA clubs in Western PA.
  6. We live in the huge village of Nickelville, population about 40 It's located off 38 about 10 miles north of Emlenton (exit 45 off I80). Pardoe, Gem city (Erie) and New Castle are all within your range. Erie has some awesome indoor matches that Matt puts on, and they are running right now.
  7. EDL, welcome to the forums. Visit us at the web site below to see where you can shoot USPSA in Western PA (and there is also Eastern OH). Let us know where you are located and we will hook you up with willing folks!
  8. They are trying! Have to have the club meetings to see if the match conflicts with any other events at the facility, have to see what other majors may be going on so as to maximize attendance. Once we know, you will know! Patience young padawan....
  9. Interesting that the "intent" is not readily available (as one would think it should be) but everyone who wants to change it swears by this "intent" Must be like porn, they can't define it but they know it when they see it!
  10. Do you have a date and location yet? Hollidaysburg, looking like June so we do not conflict with the Area match, but date is not set in stone yet.
  11. All of you are invited to come shoot the Western Pennsylvania Section Championship match this year! We don't care where you are from, come on down! The nice part about shooting different section or area matches is that you get a different type of match at every one. Shoot your own local clubs long enough and you get a good feel for what that club likes to do and how it works. Let that club do a section match and it is an expansion of what they may usually do, with the occasional wrinkle thrown in. But go to an entirely different section or area and you get a nice shooting challenge that may go beyond what you experience with your own. That, and you learn some things you can take back and apply to your own matches.
  12. Area size might be a limiting factor, but in A8 when Alan ran and then Harry ran, both of them made it a point to come out to the clubs in Western PA, shoot the matches and meet with md's, shooters, etc. to ask opinions, solicit support and engage in a general dialog. A good way for shooters to meet them (if they came to the match that day) ask questions and get to make a general first impression. I do like Jim's suggestion of a variety of questions which they should address and hopefully get answers such that we are not blind-sided once a person gets in office and votes or responds to those issues in a different way!
  13. Western PA is having one in February. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=142933&pid=1606071&st=0entry1606071
  14. Remember that the UA stuff is effective during activity. If you expect it to keep you warm just standing around, well, you might get a chill.
