Strange. My CS dealings with the new Zermatt, not Bighorn, led me away from Zermatt to Terminus. The company wasnt the same after AJ sold it to Zermatt.

Zero accuracy difference that I can se inside 500-600 yards with my load using Hornady bullets. I sort my bolt gun brass and my precision semi-auto brass. But for most of my 223 shooting, no sorting.

I trim all my 223 and 223 Ackley brass back to 1.745. By the time it needs trimming again I have lost it or the neck has split. When processing 223 brass, if it is longer than 1.745 the Dillon trimmer trims it. If it is shorter than that, and almost all FC brass is, I just press on and dont sweat it.

If it fits in your chamber and you dont have to struggle to remove a loaded round, you are fine. Your gauge isnt the exact same as your chamber. Toss your gauge in the trash and go shoot.

Does the brass fit in your chamber? It is very possible that your gauge and the chamber are not exactly identical.

Since the mid 90s I have gone from 1050s, to S-1050s to 1100s. The S-1050 feels the smoothest and has the shortest stroke, but the 1100 is the best machine.

The same as all the centerfire PRS stuff, but with a Vudoo. I am using a Vudoo 360, Eley ammo, S&B 5-25, RRS tripod, Traust bags and a Vector rangefinder.

Does anyone know when/if Ed Brown stopped making his cylinder latches? I was wanting to buy a couple more so all of my competition revos feel the same, but I cant find them out there. I tried the Hogue and preferred the Ed Brown.

For mixed brass with a bone stock Dillon measure 15-20 would be ok. Done some measure tweaking about you will bring that down a little bit.

Put the swage rod back in and get it adjusted. Something is causing the big gouges in the rim at some point. Find out what is causing that and when they are getting dinged. My guess is the little bent wire at the priming station needs to be snugged up closer to the case to ensure the case is in the proper position. Try some WIN or FED brass to see you still have issues. I would decap the bad cases and look inside the primer pocket just to see what it looks like in there.

You adjust the index with the set screw on the back of the press frame. You might also have a bent index shoulder bolt.

Get the 1100 and cry once.

Excellent score. I have a soft spot for 5 inch Smiths. Might be the best balance of both worlds.

We just bought 1,000 paper IPSC targets from MGM. Shipping was prompt and the whole deal was perfect. However, the cardboard MGM uses is pretty thin compared to what we are used to. With the wind we get here, I am hoping they will work out ok for us in the end. Has anyone else noticed a trend towards thinner cardboard? I assume it is to keep material and shipping costs down.

FTR means 308 or 223, but 223s get beat up pretty bad at 1,000. 308 barrel life shooting 185s or 200s is 4,000-5,000 rounds. Finding an off the shelf manufacturer of a single shot 308 is going to be a tall order. Just get a custom action and stock and have your gunsmith take all the measurements he needs for additional barrels. That way when you need a new barrel, he wont need the gun. All you need is a barrel vice and action wrench.

Best affordable bullet I have found is the Hornady 55 FMJBT. Pretty damn cheap when you buy a case (6,000) of them.

I bought the 9mm and 223 plates. They are ok, but nothing that made me say "Wow! That was money well spent."

Last I knew the origins were a mechanical ejector and not a spring loaded ejector. Best advice I can give is to work the bolt a little more aggressively. I got tired of the run around with Zermatt customer service, so I sold my actions and went with a Terminus. Zero regrets. Its too bad, Bighorn/Zermatt used to be an awesome company.

Not crimping can help with accuracy unless your brass is the exact same length. I got the best accuracy with N-110 and Berger 215 and 230 Hybrids.

You might want to check into Berger match ammo.

I have been told that my reloading room has all the character of a morgue. No playboy calendars, no wild game mounts, ect. So I added in some artsy fartsy stuff in. Right between my Dillon 1100 and 550/Prometheus.
