  1. Forgot to mention I doubt I will look into an SBR setup right now. Just don't feel like dealing with the paperwork and trying to do this PCC thing on a semi-budget as it won't be a full time thing, but a toy here and there. Good points thus far. I like the idea of having the ease of using most any Glock mag in a pinch. But the idea of that gun being ONLY that thing is limiting a bit. being able to take the mag block out and use it for something else has its perks. Keep it coming, this is good info for me and a friend who is in the same boat as well.
  2. So after RO'ing a couple local matches with some PCC shooters, I'm considering jumping in as well. For those who own a PCC (whether you shoot USPSA with it or not), which style mag setup are you using? Trying to decide if I want to get a block and use Colt mags or get a 9mm receiver to take glock mags. I have one Glock pistol already so leaning towards that option as those mags seem to be a bit cheaper right now. I'm open to persuasion. Thoughts?

New blaster huh? Might need to talk about that this weekend. Good luck at A5. I've never shot it, but always wanted to.

    My Boy!!!

Congrats! I've got 2 and it gets better by the day as they develop!! And yea, I don't shoot near as much anymore.
  5. Or don't! The classifieds issue is being worked on as we speak ( and maybe even fixed by now). See the other 3 page thread.
  6. If your username and your display name are different, that might be the problem. The new update is using the display name as the login info. Took me a couple tries as well to figure it out as my old login username is not "Corey".
  7. The answer is, its being looked at right now. New Forum upgrades often have some little bugs and learning curves or things that need tweaked to get it where we want it. The proper forum for questions like this belong here: http://forums.brianenos.com/index.php?/forum/234-report-bugs-or-feedback/. Quite a bit of conversation going right now.
  8. Everyone take a Xanax, its being looked into. As with any update of anything in the world, there may be bugs and/or a learning curve. Everyone just calm down a bit, the world isn't ending anytime soon. And no, do not just post a bunch of BS to get your count up....
  9. Also figured out there was a change when I got an email about a reported post. So there is that feature now too
  10. Its taking a bit of getting used to for sure. There is no "View New Content" like before, but there is "Unread Content" in the upper right corner. Actually, pretty neat part there is you can then filter the content by a number of things like personal posts, personallystarted topics, specific people, certain time frames like the past day, past week, etc. Functionally, there looks like there is much more here than the old format, just need to figure out where it all is. That is all from a desktop as I don't browse the forums all that much on my phone so I haven't looked for anything there yet.

    Its On Now

Can't wait to hear about the Anderson stuff soon!
  12. Well after the last update, it did happen. Not sure if I'm ready to be called a GM and certainly don't think I can compete at that level with my current level of practice and dedication (like none?), but here it comes anyway! Shot a pretty first match as GM last month at FWRR until the last stage where I blew the win. 100% on the classifier will bump up the classification a bit higher into "real" GM, haha. Trying to decide if I want to venture into other divisions now to see if I can be a multi-division GM. Might give me a little drive again. Spending a lot of time working out, putting a home gym together, and hanging with my boys. Shooting has certainly taken a backseat in the car of life as of late.
  13. 6 on the belt, 1 in the gun. I barney up out of mag #6 at the MR command.
  14. http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-rules.php Ah-Ha! I had skimmed the addendum when I made that post, but hadn't scrolled down far enough to get to the Appendix
  15. Then I suggest you email HQ with your own standard for every classifier and what you think the HHF needs to be. This is a new division and they had to go off something, just when any new division comes out in the sport. There has to be a starting point somewhere. If in fact the PCC scores are too low to be compared to against Open (and for the most part, I agree with this idea) then they will be lowered to properly reflect it once enough scores have been submitted. Give it time, go have fun on the range. This sport is supposed to be fun....
  16. I've done it before, both with a 9mm 3-gun pistol as well as downloaded .40 ammo. My thoughts at the time were "this will be cheaper (9mm)" or "this will be faster and less recoil (.40)". "Plus, I know im shooting minor, so it'll force me to be more accurate, which is something I need to work on". I've gone back to major with no plans of trying Lim minor again, haha. Wasn't much of a cost difference, I didn't like the way the gun recoiled with minor loads (too slow/sluggish), and I didn't slow down or try to be more accurate. all I did was lose a lot more points.
  17. PCC speeds are nowhere near .223 rifle speeds thus we don't need to be any further away than normal. I can't find it with an immediate search, but I think I remember there being a ceiling speed of like 1600fps for PCC somewhere?
  18. My question is, who cares? Yes the Open-based HHF will be tough with PCC guns for a little while, but they will be tough for EVERYONE the SAME way. Once some numbers get established HQ may drop some HHFs down a bit. I'm sure there are some classifiers, especially some with longer shots or where a normal pistol division must turn and draw, etc that the PCCs will do just fine as it is.
  19. I use P-mags of various configurations. single 30 rounders, coupled 30 rounders, 40 rounders, 30 rounders with a Nordic+18 extension. All depends on the stage and situation. But its all Magpul for me.
  20. The standard Redding and Forster Full Length dies are far from expensive. The competition versions with the micrometers, bushings, etc are very pricey, but the normal sets aren't bad at all.
  21. Redding and Forster are both good brands. Carbide is nice but you won't find them many places in rifle dies, and when you do they are expensive. Rifle cases are (most) all angled in the body so you need to lube no matter what. Always clean the brass before you size them.
  22. Our local club had one PCC shooter this past weekend and things went smooth as silk. He had his gun bagged so when we walked to the bay, he walked to the side berm and laid his bag down. When it was his turn to shoot. He went to get his PCC, un-bagged it and carried it to the line muzzle up. At Make Ready, took out the chamber flag and went about the stage. Afterward, he put the chamber flag back in then carried it back to his bag by the berm. After 3 stages I was a little jealous I didn't have a PCC to shoot, lol. Looked like a lot of fun
  23. I have a PT slide stop thumb rest on my Lim gun and love it! Gives me a good index/grip reference and I do feel I shoot better with it. Call it a crutch if you want, but I shoot better scores and finish higher, which is the goal when I show up to a match.
  24. 17 years ago?!?! Holy Crap time flies. Cool to see he's still got it
