  1. Thank you. Looks like the rain is supposed to stop by Sunday! Will the range be muddy? Do I need cleats or boots?
  2. I will be there all the way from CA! Does anyone have the exact address of the range, so I can use my GPS?
  3. I have to ask.... doesn't your grip have to have cheeks to be called a big butt? sicko!
  4. I am a California resident who will be in Rhode Island for the month of July. I would like to shoot the New England Regional Revolver CHampionship in Albany, NY. Does anyone (maybe a New England resident) know how I can go about getting the proper permissions or forms filled out to fly to Rhode Island with my Revolver and ammo, then drive to NY for the match? Thank you.
  5. JP Rifles makes a drop-in http://www.jprifles.com/1.4.8.3_fc_m.php
  6. No need to wait until you move. Firebird just got CA DOJ approval to ship Firebird receivers into CA as long guns. Three of them are on the way to my FFL right now!
  7. Nelson Dymond, the IRC Match Director, said that he would be putting the remaining shirts from the IRC on sale on the icore.org website. There were some cool ones this year. There is a black one with the ICORE logo on the back with the phrase "Wheelguns are Real Guns" around it.
  8. Rich also gave a ProMag Archangel stock that he got to a junior. He gives away more than he gets! He is an amazingly generous man. We are lucky to have people like him in ICORE! Chris
  9. If you think thet the phrase 10-15 pounds on the side of a box of diapers means how much they will hold.
  10. I did a flip-and-polish on mine, and it's super sweet... for free. what parts did you polish?
  11. I just called Volquartsen a few weeks ago, and they recommended replacing the sear and the trigger. I put in the sear and the adjustable trigger, and the difference is noticeable. It has a very short reset and no over travel. It is also lighter than with the stock sear.
  12. I asked a similar question and got these answers: thread
  13. Thank you. Another dumb question. Can I put either size tube on my receiver? As far as I know all lowers are the same, right? It's just a matter of the OD of the tube, not the receiver.
  14. I have seen different aftermarket buttstocks that have a disclaimer such as: "Will only work on Mil-spec tubes," or " a drop-in replacement butt-stock for carbines using commercial receiver extension tubes" How can I tell what kind of tube I have? I have a feeling this is a dumb question, but as of now I don't have an answer.
  15. How did you do the cocking ears on rear of the slide?
  16. I have the same gun, and I love the C-more I put on mine!
  17. Yeah it helps a little. If you order the trigger, go ahead and order some replacement parts to have on hand. Get a couple mainsprings (cause I had one break), a trigger spring, ejector spring, etc. If you're interested, I have a couple extra drilled and tapped mag releases. Here's a Picture. Those look nice! I had mine drilled and tapped so I could install a 1911 extended button.
  18. WOW! I am excited about this. I will be emailing this to everyone I know. Thank you, Julie and Smith & Wesson!
  19. OK, so I looked on Dillon's and Midway's sites, and I found these two options: Dillon's Super Swage 600 for $95 or the RCBS Pocket Primer Swager Combo Die for $27 (which I would put in my single stage press). Does anyone have experience with either of these? Would either of these work well with 9mm?
  20. WCC is one of the main offenders, yes.
  21. When I reload 9mm using mixed headstamp range brass in my XL650, I have a problem with crushing primers in the pockets of some of the brass. Do some 9mm brass have crimped primer pockets? If so, is there a good way to make all the primer pockets uniform before I lose any more precious sm pistol primers?
  22. That's perfect. Nice pics and simple instructions. Now I'm thinking of ordering the adjustable trigger from Brownells. Any thoughts on that? Does it take out enought travel to be worth the effort?
