  1. My apologies for the delay. 1. I am using the Stock Mag Catch. I am not having any issues with feeding. I am also using a 10lb recoil spring. I ordered a guncraft one but that did not raise the mag height so I'm not using it. Canyon creek was backordered when I looked but it might be an option. I don't know. Remember I do not have the pistol currently so no pics of Mag in the frame. The STI mag is wider than the stock mags. both in the body and at the top all measurements are approximate bacause i'm doing this quickly with calipers The stock STI mag will not fully insert into the RI frame. Body RI-23.6 mm STI- 24mm Mag catch location from top of feed lip to top of mag catch RI 31.64 STI 33.06 Feed Lip RI 12.5 STI 14.1 All I did was reduce the width of the mag using different grades of sandpaper and a flat file Honestly i kind of hacked it up but it works. Material to be relieved is marked in black on an unmodified STI mag. front shoulders also need to be relieved. I just took an STI mag, put it in the Frame, figured out what needed to be relieved and started with the file/sandpaper. Pics: Hope that helps. any more questions send them and I'll try to answer
  2. Thanks for the info as always Atlas. For a SP01 non shadow wold you recommend the type 1 or pre-B?
  3. Jager makes a Gen 4 Specific guide rod that does not need a reducer ring http://jagerproducts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=90
  4. Depends on your Shotgun. On Benelli, VM you can use your firing hand to pull the charging handle to the rear then drop a slug in. you do lose the shell in the chamber. you can also load the slug into the mag before you need it so you can fire the round in the chamber ad the slug loads. - not preloading say you have 4 steel, 1 slug target array after 3 birdshot, load the slug, take the last birdshot and your slug is ready.
  5. These will fit but do not add capacity http://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=+DAWSON+PRECISION+PRODUCTS:Baseplates+For+Para%2C+EZ-Off%2C+Adds+Length%2C+Not+Capacity
  6. dhunt-if you have the 9mm you can measure the mag body http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=80000060-1388517801 the mags i have (.22tcm/9mm and mecgar from greg cote) are too short. I also have some preban 20rounders- too short and actually too wide. I'll post what idid to get the STI mags to fit later
  7. What was the round count on that stage? 70? I carry enough to complete the stage without counting what is is the gun at the start.
  8. Jmike, from the link please read it again. Not sayin I'm right but as I own the mags for this pistol and the basepad you linked I can tell you they do not fit. The plus 2 adapter adds 2 extra rounds of capacity to the Mec-Gar magazines listed below Beretta 92FS 18 round 9mm magazines anti-friction coating Beretta 96 13 round .40 S&W anti-friction coating CZ 75 17 round 9mm anti-friction coating CZ 75 12 round .40 S&W anti-friction coating Taurus PT 92-99 18 round 9mm anti-friction coating Taurus PT 100/101 13 round .40 S&W anti-friction coating Sig P226 18 round 9mm anti-friction coating Sig P226 13 round .40 S&W anti-friction coating I have also had customers use these on the S&W M&P 9mm, .40 and .357 Sig magazines. These are not really intended for that application but they work fine. I have had some customers try it and come back for more. They can also be used on the CZSP01 18 round factory magazines. When used on the CZSP01 18 round magazine you end up with a 20 round extended magazine.
  9. jmike, look for a 2011/STI/SVI holster for 5in Full rail.
  10. Well damn! I looked all over their website the other day and could only find the 9mm, 45 and 10mm. http://www.gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=841 That basepad will not fit the mags for this pistol. Says so in the description and I can confirm as I have it on my cz mags.
  11. 40 is listed https://us.armscor.com/products/tac-2011-hi-cap-.40sw and 10mm https://us.armscor.com/products/tac-2011-vz-10mm Jmike, link for baseplate? Thanks
  12. Good for you. A review/range report would be appreciated when you get it.
  13. 1time, is it from Canyon Creek? GunCraft also makes one https://www.speedshooter.com/product_detail.cfm?id=GCPMRB&n=Gun-Craft-Para-Ordnance-Mag-Release-Blue However, the stock one has been fine for me. this is a standard 140mm STI mag in mine after some fitting. The mag itself needs to be reduced from about the mag catch to the mag lips. short clip showing function http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr307/rdeschain/th_rockisland_001_001_003_001_zps3d6b7603.mp4
  14. Sorry, no pics at the moment, gun is back at armscor. Remember, mine is a different model without the factory magwell. I would get a few more mags first and see how they work with the factory magwell.
  15. Chanman They probably meant https://us.advancedtactical.com/shop/product-detail/22tcm-mecgar17-round-fs-magazine/ you can get the same mags from greg cote. looking forward to the range report
  16. I'm glad yours did not have the same issue. Sign up at grabagun and gungenie for stock notifications. Like I said - there were some last week. you can fit a Dawson magwell for para on the RIA http://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=MAGWELLS%2C+MAIN+SPRING+HOUSINGS+AND+BACKSTRAPS:Magwell+Para+Ordnance+HiCap The dawson extra capacity basepads might not fit depending on your mag. Dawson has the info on their site. I have the older one not the newer ICE which should also fit. since the 51679 comes with a magwell you could try asking armscor when they might be available or keep an eye on the Para pro shop. The items look very similar I also have +200 or .300 dawson basepads that do not add capacity to clear the magwell. Mags you can find here http://www.gregcotellc.com/cart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=97_152 Or you can buy some STI mags and do some filing/sanding. I did and get 23 with TTI spring/follower/basepad
  17. I have a .22TCM/9mm that I use for 3Gun and other matches It is a Para frame. Any Ambi safety can be fitted and will probably need some fitting I have a Wilson and it needs some fitting Gun Craft makes an extended Mag release https://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=MAGAZINE+PARTS:Para+Ordnance Grips- Most Para p14/16/18 should fit. you can order the VZs from Armscor https://us.advancedtactical.com/shop/product-detail/vz-operator-grips-1911-a2-fs/ Good: trigger is 3.5 lbs can take modified STI Mags (have to relieve some material) Not a bad shooter Not so Good: Accuracy with 9mm barrel. barrel hood is significantly thinner than the breechface so lockup suffers. I can move the barrel when it is in battery. No idea about the .22 barrel as I'm not interested in it. I just sent it back to Armscor to see what they say. My suggestion would be to sign up for the stock notices on the 2011 Tac Hi Cap 51679 https://us.armscor.com/products/tac-2011-hi-cap-9mm This one probably has a dedicated slide, etc. Some just showed up the other day at davidsons or grabagun.
  18. After you get it all cleaned up and take it to the range I'm wondering if you could try inducing the same issue? bad mount, etc. what size mag tube were you running? My buddy who turned me on to the versamax just got a extended tube 13? maybe and with only 4or 6 shells it was doing what you describe. It was a match day so he just shot mine. Usual tube (both of us) is 10 with stock spring and no issues.
  19. A little? I'm a lot bummed. Maybe in time there will be more matches. really glad to see this happening though Mario. Kudos to you and all involved.
