  1. Look Like if I add these then with the SS guide rod, etc I'll still be under the 2oz over weight rule for production.
  2. I had problems with a Gen4 17 and 19 but not a 34 replaced ejectors with the 4027 part, RSA with the ?042 part and they were fine. The 34 was a later date production. If you are set on a Gen 4 I would just make sure they have the latest parts.
  3. Daniel, Do yo have the small Tarans? If so would you mind weighing them? Or anyone that does have them. Thanks
  4. Brooke, when I attended armorer class last year, that was not my experience. There are many individuals who had to ship their guns to glock on their own dime multiple times. OP, check the numbers on the RSA and ejector. If you are going to GSSF, you should have the opportunity to show them. hint-bring some factory ammo, since they like to blame that.

    Striker Spring

RJH, Stock Glock is 5lb. Zev is probably 4lb. There are 4.5lb springs out there. you could also try a lightened extended striker but that's more money. Wolf I believe. Check gunsprings..com If you want one of those strikers let me know I have an extra one somewhere.
  6. Just finished The Third Bullet by Hunter. Interesting. Also finished one of John Weisman's novels- they guy who used to write with Marchinko. He's gotten much better. Its funny because in Hunter's book, one of the characters says the CIA works with individual authors. Weisman would seem to be one of those guys but what do I know. Currently reading the latest Jack Reacher Novel
  7. OP, Do you have the latest extractor- 4027 and RSA 042 I believe. I had the same issue when I first got my Gen 4 G34 Updating to these made a difference. At GSSF they should replace for free, correct?
  8. MFCEO is Ben. Don't you remember the hat he was wearing? Sounds like you have a plan, you're sticking to it and it's paying off. That's great.
  9. Nimitz, Was it the Indian, The Arrow or The MFCEO? I'm going to have to head up to Malabar Next Saturday and see this for myself! Congrats.

    DIY Trigger Install

Do it yourself. Many helpful vids on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g__gcR8sSIc
  11. I like my $20 jogging stroller with ATV mounts for 4 guns.
  12. 13lb captured IMSI with 147 and 124. I've heard IMSI is underrated and actually higher than standard whereas Wolf is more accurate. i do have an 11ib IMSI to try but have not gotten around to it yet. I did run a 15lb briefly and prefer thee 13 more.
  13. Florida Info. These are just the ones I shoot somewhat regularly Literally every Saturday and Sunday Every Tuesday and Thursday Night Frostproof Port Malabar Sunrise Miami Volusia County This leaves out Ft. Meyers, Orlando, St Augustine, Jacksonville, Titusvillle
  14. I'd send them back to Taran and call and explain the situation.
  15. Are you the original owner of the Glock? Perhaps someone filed the dovetail instead of the sight base? All sights I tried were as described above. That includes Heine, Warren, RB1, Taran. As best I can measure with the sight in, the rear dovetail is about 0.255-0.257 in. Do you have the ability to check yours? I'd Take out the sight and measure the Taran base but......
  16. From memory, Fit like most others- fingers to 1/3 maybe 1/2 of dovetail, then a sight tool for the rest. No daylight around the sight. hope that helps
  17. Wire loop paracord or from Nordic: http://nordiccomp.com/retail/shop/ar-furniture/qda-for-nordic-components-hand-guards/
  18. Yep, i asked Ben the exact question. You have to be brutally honest. I could get dry times under 1 sec but if I ever look at times in a match it's more like 1.5 or even more. Do I not trust the sights in live, am i doing something different? Honestly I'm not sure yet.
  19. You should contact CRSpeed and talk to them about that. These belts last for years and years typically. Sarge, Thanks. I will. I had the same problem with a DSG Competition Belt. What happens is the Velco on the outer belt starts separating form the outer belt. DSG replaced it. All the belts I have seen only have stitching on the outer belt velco around the outside edge.
  20. Sounds like you are looking for a one belt for all disciplines. I tried this and honestly it did not work for me. For IDPA I use one of my carry belts- Wilderness or Ares USPSA/3Gun- CR Speed which is wearing out after less than 1yr. Next belt will be a DAA. For IDPA you can even use the inner belt.
  21. Hey Travis. Thanks again for the equipment loan at Malabar Anytime you want to shoot 3Gun come to Malabar 3rd Saturday whatever gear/guns you need you are more than welcomed to borrow mine.
  22. On hand for if the weather turns Ziplocks both gallon and quart size everything goes in these first A few trashbags for range bag and cart extra clothes and shoes socks-several goretex or similar jacket an umbrella I've seen people with beach umbrellas for the carts might try this next and several smaller towels
  23. If I could shoot only one type of match, it would be 3 Gun. I also like 2 Gun. I've shot the local USCA match in NSB before and will do so again. Obviously there were some growing pains with the National match but I enjoyed it overall and it's Local (3hr away) Down here we have the SFDC-South Florida Defensive Carbine Club which predates the CFDCC and USCA. It's a monthly 2 gun match with similar scoring but much more heavily penalized for any FTN. The local USPSA club also has a monthly multigun match that might be just rifle, rifle and shotgun or rifle pistol shotgun. I think if it gets more people out shooting and competing its a good thing
