  1. At UASC keep your finger out of the trigger area. after SC, lock it back.
  2. I only shoot a Glock, so like kirbinster, I'm planning on that. If not then Strong hand thumb.
  3. Finbox, if you do not already you should shoot the Malabar 3 gun on the 3rd Sat of every month. stages are very challenging.
  4. Jesse, do you have video of your TO run? I'm curious as to the difference you mention.
  5. I hope USCA gave James "The hardest working RO" a free gun, lifetime membership at the Rage and to USCA. Ran Stage 3 on Sat, Ran Stage 6 on Sun. And did an Awesome Job on Both! Big Thanks to James and to all the RO's
  6. I'll put this on the calendar for next year. timing just did not work this time. Does anyone have Video of the stages?
  7. Call him? Match Director Raymond Lambert 386-428-0042 opnshooter1425@gmail.com
  8. Here: Different caliber but same length http://pistol-training.com/archives/2455
  9. Effectively Zero difference. At 20+ yards its trigger control and sights. (same as other distances, right?) Do you know where you hit at that distance? Please define decent? Try bench resting at 20 or 25 yards slow fire How many alphas or 0's can you shoot out of 6 rounds. Do the same freestyle. do it again, and again and so on for a total of 5 times. Is there a difference? I'll have to look at my notes but this was the first drill Ben Stoeger had us do in a recent class. Its an eye opener. Then he introduced a generous par time. With My gun, My load and My sights I had to adjust my aiming a bit. You might be the same or different but you need to find out.
  10. theKenny shoots with me and shoots both excellent. Ha ha Damian, When I was responding to this I was thinking of how you regularly smoke me with the 17 For the OP, my best USPSA classifier was with a 17. I ran an IDPA classifier clinic (2 runs) on a practice night, one each with the 17 and 34 Time difference was negligable. As the others have said, try some empirical based tests. I actually ran the 17 last night in 3Gun with Extended mags and I would say for me that is one area the 34 has the 17 beat, with 23 rounds, the 34 balances better for me.
  11. I also have both and recommend you keep on shooting the 17. Just not enough difference to justify that expense.
  12. I have a small or large Benchmade with me everyday. Today it happens to be the large.
  13. Ken, missed you yesterday at the match. Great stages as usual. Damian, you have to get up there at least once, you'll be hooked. The range, props and shooters are all top notch. There is usually a contingent from SFL that drives up every month.
  14. 13lb IMSI captured 124 JHP or 147 gr plated 135ish PF I do not reload but buy from an ammo manf. I just tried Automatic accuracy's economy ammo and it is nice.
  15. I know its outside of OP's statement but my answer is Versamax Tactical. Already has a Nordic tube. I did get the benelli thumb so lifter went off for welding. So money that would be spent on tube went to lifter.
  16. Or on fire. as a friend is fond of saying.
  17. So I thought my ejection was ok but at the range today for several rounds I watched the ejection from my GEN4 34 and 17 Not even close to what I have seen some GEN4s do- meaning sending the brass about 3ft o more from the shooter. Some would make it over my forearm and that's about it. I was very surprised. Both the 17 and 34 have the latest glock ejector and extractor. Both have an IMSI captured 13lb recoil spring. Ammo is MG 124 JHP @ 135 PF I might have to try what Tryo suggested also.
  18. Buy both and throw in an 11lb as well then try each one. Some say the IMSI springs run light, whereas the Wolff springs are labeled accurately I run a 13 in a Gen4 17, 19, 34. PF is 135 124 MG JHP The newer ejector and factory mainspring resolved my ejection issues so I never tried the Apex ejector.
  19. Call Remington. if need be multiple times until you get a knowledgeable CS person. My friend just went through the same process and they shipped it back with a new barrel that is POA POI.
  20. They don't want to be googled? Many are sponsored shooters. Would they tell any of their sponsors they do not want their full name used? And as stated their full names are in the captions. Makes me think this is a uspsa decision.
  21. I saw A versamax done by Benny. Prior to that I thought my Hack job was decent. How wrong I was.
