  1. I'm really starting to think these frames are different. For reference I have the 51680 and new STI mags would not fit at all without reducing the width. If someone with a 51679 wants to take measurememts let me know. I'm going to take some anyway on mine tonight. Thanks for the info.
  2. Guys, I found out by chance last night that SVI (not STI) mags fit with NO modification. 3 of 4 buddies have STI mags for their 2011s, the 4th has SVI I have not shot with him in a long time which is why i did not find out until last night. 100% reliable. I did have the guncraft mag catch in though i'm tempted by the posilock. Canyon Creek also sells a modified mag catch that requires fitting.
  3. I have the 22tcm/9mm target with a dawson magwell and STI 140mm mags. I did measure the current PARA 18rnd mags and mecgar 17 round with a dawson .002 basepad for oal and it looks like they will work. I was going to order a few and see.. The 126 has a 17 round capacity. 15 rounds is one of the things i do not miss about NJ I believe the 126 tube in 40S&W takes 14 rds. Good that you escaped I'm sure you miss the pizza here in NJ/NY. lol I have the 22tcm/9mm target with a dawson magwell and STI 140mm mags. 4. from an Email: To our GADPA Family, You are receiving this email to inform you about a decision that the GADPA Board of Directors has made about the future of our club. As of October 27th, 2014, the Greater Atlanta Defensive Pistol Association is discontinuing its affiliation with the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA). This decision was not taken likely. Due to irreconcilable differences with IDPA Headquarters/Leadership, GADPA is perusing a exciting new direction. Matches will continue under the GADPA banner (Both indoor and outdoor ranges). These events will now be GADPA matches, not IDPA matches. GADPA will continue to deliver the quality you have come to expect. Please be patient while we make this transition. This decision is made with the best intention for our club. We realize this may not sit well with some of you. However IDPA in Georgia will continue under other clubs. We realize there will be several questions and we ask for your patients while we address those concerns. We appreciate your understanding and we look forward to serving you in our new direction. Sincerely, GADPA Board of Directors Capel English Rhett Crutchfield Mark Gallo Eric Mandus Brett Hanus Matt McKee Ken Murano

  17. Just an update on my RIA that i sent back. The sent me a brand new pistol- the tcm/9mm target model which is great with me. I prefer those sights anyway. Ran it in two matches this weekend and no complaints. I do prefer a 10lb recoil spring though. no idea what the stock one is. Of course, one of the STI mags I fitted to the old pistol does not work now. No blame to armscor there. I have several tcm/9mm mags fitted with dawsons length not capacity extensions that no longer fit either. *update- I took the dawson .0200 basepads off the mecgar mags to see how much lack of clearance was. there was definitely enough room with the mag inserted for basepads. A bit of filing and they fit. As this is the Target model, I have a dawson magwell and that still fits so I wanted to use it. I ordered a few Para mags and I have another STI to modify later. Big thanks to Amrscor.
  18. Walstein, Do yo have the capability to measure the Mec Gar p18 mags? I have some and they definitely do not work with Dawson extended basepads and my RIA. If you don't mind, who and when did you order them from?
  19. VM for myself and 3 buddies but since this is not NJ I can only vote once. Still see sx3s too.
  20. The modified mags will work in a STI. Ran a Custom STI Sunday with my mags.
  21. AHI- can you measure your mag? http://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=MAGAZINE+PARTS:Para+Ordnance
