  1. Buds has the pro match 40 in stock. It is $860. Is it worth the extra @ $250 over the 51782 ? Why ?
  2. I just loaded some extreme 180gr with 4.5 g clays at 1.20 oal averaged 935 fps
  3. 4.1gr clays 180gr bayou 1.20 oal makes @ 173 pf in my dvc same as in my edge.
  4. Match was great. Excellent stages and very organized. Are todays scores posted anywhere yet ?
  5. I believe it comes with a 15 lb spring. I changed mine to an 18 and use a 14 lb recoil spring. I have used different primers even rifle primers and havn't had any light strikes with them.
  6. come on Marcus, you can handle it, It is uspsa, you don't have to worry about where you are going to do those reloads !!!
  7. Mine came with a 15. I increased it to 18 because sometimes I load with small rifle primers.
  8. I have seen felt glued inside a kydex. It doesn't show any signs of wear and has lasted several years so far.
  9. I just got a pt frame for a build. It looks excellent.
  10. If it has a titanium firing pin, that could be causing it.
  11. I have done several sti edge triggers. The internals in my opinion very good. All I have done is polish the surfaces and adjust the sear spring to achieve a less than 2lb trigger. I would bring it to a gunsmith. He should not have any problem adjusting what you already have.
  12. Whatever you can find should work in a 1911 or 2011. I have used tula, winchester, cci also some rifle primers. If you have any trouble with your sti 2011 just change the mainspring to an 18 lb spring. It comes with a 15 lb spring.
  13. Check sear spring tension middle and left leaf.
  14. Check the compression washer under the powder adj bolt. Mine lost its tension once and the adj bolt could be turned by hand. I had varing loads as a result.
  15. I never have any problems at 1.20. My sti will feed any oal I feed it. I would check the extractor.
  16. I have been shooting ss and lim 10 with my kimbers for @ 10 yrs. It helps to know your way around a 1911. I do my own triggers and have kimbers with and without the swartz safety. Never had a problem with it. I did replace the original extractor in one of them at @ 25000 rds. It lost tension. I use all wilson mags 47d and 10rd mags.
  17. I have run thousands thru my edge with 4.3g clays 180gr bayou bullet oal 1.20 runs @ 173pf
  18. I make @ 170pf with 4.3g clays with oal of 1.20 180gr bayou
  19. I have found info stating that the mainspring that comes in an edge is 15lb. I have a 16lb mainspring and a 14lb recoil in my 40. I havn't tried a 12 1/2 lb but plan on it in the future.
  20. I'm sure others read this. If I were your age I would be doing the same thing as you. You have the speed and agility to reach your goals. Keep up the good work !
  21. Edge is more popular in uspsa. Resale is excellent with the edge.
  22. Thats what I came up with also. I am going to order a long. thanks for your help
  23. Just picked up a used edge. It has an infinity short flat trigger. It is too short for me. I like the stock trigger that comes in kimbers. Can anyone tell me which trigger insert I should buy to get a trigger length close to my kimbers ? I will be going to a curved trigger. Should I get a long or medium curved trigger ?? thanks in advance
  24. Blind stages are no big deal. IDPA is 18 shots max. You have @ 5minutes to look the stage over before your group starts shooting. It isn't like USPSA, there is usually only one way to shoot the stage. Have you ever been to a state match ? The ROs shoot the first day. If you set the match up you will get more time looking it over ! So what ? You also have more time to get confused as well. If you don't like how a match is run start your own !
