  1. I would check the overtravel adjustment. If that is ok then it could be the sear spring, or sear/trigger engagement.
  2. I saw that. I just want to find a pound locally so I don't have to pay hazmat. Actually just enough to try it out.
  3. I use coated at 1.185 also. I am going to try to find some to try. thanks
  4. I tried some n320. It took almost 5gr to make major at oal of 1.185. I would like to find something softer as well. I load 4.1gr clays, and it is softer shooting than n320. I think I will try to find 1lb containers of e3 and prima sv and try them before ordering a larger quantity. I might try sport pistol also.
  5. yes that would be nice. I think I have decided to go with prima sv. Probably order it next week. Thanks for everyones help !!
  6. I'm going to try some n320 but looking for something cheaper.
  7. I agree, titegroup would not be considered. I have some, like everyone else. Hate having to wipe flakes off my arm after shooting. Quite a few recommend prima sv. Is there an advantage using e3 over prima sv ? I havn't shot either one. thanks
  8. Let me know how it shoots. I am looking for something with similar felt recoil to clays, clean, but without the spikes. Not sure which would be best e3 or prima sv, or something else.
  9. I have titegroup. I have loaded it in 45s and 9mm. Not as soft as clays in 45 and not very clean. How does e3 compare to clays ? Also thinking about prima sv and sport pistol. I havn't shot either myself. Are they clean, soft ect ?
  10. I have been using clays for years and would like to try something new. I load 4.1gr clays with a 180gr blue bullet at oal of 1.185. I have read some like E3 some like prime sv. I am open to suggestions but would like something similar to clays when shooting without the spikes that clays has. I want a soft shooting and clean powder for a reasonable price. Thanks for any suggestions.
  11. Did you use these bullets in your friends edge as well as the mags ? I would remove the extractor and see if they feed, just to definitely rule the extractor out.
  12. The old blame it on the dog excuse. No one is going to buy that one.
  13. I had a problem with a coated bullet manufacturer that changed from .400 to ,401. Some measured .402. I load at 1.20 and started getting bullets that would not seat, jammed my gun. Thats how I found the size had been changed. Now I am shooting blue bullets which are .400
  14. I would say it needs to be hardened. I had a colt firing pin peen where the hammer contacts it. Must not have been hardened.
  15. I can run factory rds thru my edge, but I load 1.190. They will feed easier. It takes slightly more powder. Use a chrono
  16. I load the night before also. Been doing it that way for at least 10 yrs.
  17. I would safety test it first. Maker sure the safety works properly, slingshot it one ti,e to make sure it doesn't hammer follow. Next shoot it some, then do a complete clean and lube. Check extractor tension.
  18. 11 coil is the correct spring, 13 coil springs will work as well,
  19. Yes you can use it, but I would try to find a forbus or something cheap from a lgs.
  20. I installed an aftec in my pro match. This eliminated all ftfs. I also run sti 140 mags in mine.
  21. I have seen them adjusted incorrectly from the factory. I doubt you will have any more trouble.
  22. Did you check the overtravel adjustment or just turn it a little ? I have seen them mis adjusted from the factory.
  23. I wouldn't mess any more with it. Buy a new one, the're cheap.
