Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks for the info. I called Remington today and will likely order a new carrier assembly from them in the next week or so.
  2. I have an older Remington 870 Express (pre Express Rollmarks). Sometimes the shells hang up before they chamber, I have to force the action forward to get it into battery. Before we go any further, let me explain everything I've done so far... updated the Extractor/spring updated the carrier latch spring to the black 1187 model removed the tube detents added a W/C 1 shot extension replaced the barrel with a 20in smooth bore with rifle sights replaced the stocks with Speed Feed stocks I have tried three different barrels, including one from a Wingmaster that does not have this issue. I think I've narrowed it down to the actual carrier being out of spec. I haven't switched the carrier yet as I don't have another with the flexi tab system, I'm not sure if the one off my old Wingmaster will fit. Has anyone else experienced a problem like this? if so, how did you resolve it>
  3. HAHA, thanks Eddie, but you and Paul are on your own for that one.
  4. First post here... After being a member of another forum for years I've decided to sign up here. While the other forum "used" to be a great place for information, it seems to have been infested with trolls that like to start trouble and not contribute to the site in a meaningful way. Most questions I've had I can find on here, oftentimes laid out in a clear manner without insults tossed around. Anyway, enough about that... I previously worked at a local range as an R.O, sales, and Gunsmith apprentice. I am a certified NRA Basic Pistol instructor. I started shooting USPSA about a decade ago and then switched to IDPA. I have since switched back to USPSA and try to shoot at least one match a month. I have assembled two ARs from the LPK (uppers came assembled) and I'm constantly working on a problem child of an 870. I'm hoping I can get some answers for that in a later post. I live in the Conway area of Horry County and work in Surfside. I'm originally from a small hole-in-the-wall town in SC and then moved to the beach. That's about it about me. I hope I can contribute to the site as well as learn from it.
