  1. Damn I hope I have enough score sheets! I'm hearing a lot of people saying there coming! BRING THE HEATERS!!! speaking of heaters, Kevin said he was coming so he might bring the heater out lol
  2. Handgun via USPS is dealer to dealer only.
  3. I wound the corners over on mine on the back of the folloer so its rounded not a corner
  4. It would need to be a glock 20L slide and a Large frame ie 20/21 size. I would stick with the 24 though due to avaliability of parts
  5. STI spartan is a great value and for the trojan price you can build it up and have it ready to rance for a stock trojan. I added the techwell mag well, Dawson sight and had W2R do a trigger job with new parts(now I have the factory set as a backup set). I just added some grip tape to the front strap. I figure once I destroy the finish so bad it needs a refinish I can send it and have it checkered and refinished. Im not a fan of the trojans stippling and would reather it come checkered or smooth
  6. My sight cut is the "freedom" cut. STI round slide, tritopped. Its a special dawson sight for that specific cut. They can make me a special one to height/width for an extra 20 bucks {45 total for the black sight}. Just deciding between 110 and 125.
  7. the sight cut is the flat top cut. anything other than 100 is a special order
  8. which follower are you starting with?
  9. Have a .100 on the gun and it just isnt working for me at all. Have to check to see if dawson can make a 110 to give a try. If not, I think im gonna go .125 front and .135 rear. I know alot like the narrow front and a ton of daylight but for me at least I was all over the place with that sight and couldnt track it well at all and accuracy was awful.
  10. I had one I made that would go 21 just to see if I could but just wasn't worth it. Follower was modified and the spring was the factory spring. Barely held 21 but to feed it needed 165 grain blazer aluminum ammo to keep the weight of the ammo at a min due to the way underpowered mag spring. Mag was not very reliable at all as the slide would come so close to outrunning the mag spring
  11. My guess would be the tubes were the same as the LEO marked 40 tubes. The are more squared up at the top and not tapered as much as the newer mags.
  12. Mine get 20+1 with Grams guts and dawson base pads(not the SNL). For me Im happy with 20+1 and not pushing the envelope with the SNL
  13. dont use it for competition but I use a surefire light in an elzetta mount on the left side of the SBR. The light Is posiioned on the top of the gun kinda level with the top rail. Very easy to turn on and off as needed
  14. I would check with bobby at freedom gunworks.
  15. Wish I could. Mine went off the entire KY 3 gun match with absolutely stupid questions. I got to the point of about asking Gary If we could affix it down range on the rifle stage and use it as a "bonus" target
  16. +1 whats even worse is FINALLY getting a day off and having work call you constantly at the match
  17. Whats fun are the comstock stages where it has freestyle reload then weakhand. You could shoot every shot freestyle then reload and blaze 2 in the general area of each weakhand as that is not considered stacking. Migh work well for long tight shots
  18. I usually lock the gun in and move at the body/waist to drive the gun between targets. From do come from a clays background so it just feels smoother to me to do it that way. If it feels akward then shoot what feels comfortable to you. The shotgun is much more of an art to shoot than the pistol or rifle.
  19. If the pitch of the shotgun is correct it will not pop you when it shoots up as it goes straight back into the shoulder.
  20. You can switch if the MD allows it and your primary gun becomes out of service. By no competative advantage, I don't see many MD allowing someone to shoot the whole match with a 1x4 scope on a rifle then it somehow go out of service for the last stage which is long distance rifle and oh, my backup gun is sporting a 4x12 scope on it. If the gun is basically similar I havent seen a MD have a problem.
  21. Depends on the company, sure dosent pay the same here
  22. Lighter loads or heavier gun is about all there is. Putting the weight forward will also help some. In reality the gun is going to move especially with heavier shells and a lighter gun like the benelli. The movement really isnt that big of a deal as the shotgun is pretty much a one shot per target deal. So your moving it after the shot anyway.
  23. What kind of 7.5 shot loads are you using? The benelli will move around a little more than some of the other guns being its a lighter gun. Make sure you lean into the gun when your shooting also. I would doubt the stock is too long for you being a bigger guy. Just dont expect pistol splits with the shotgun
  24. Set the gun up for the Shot and make due on the slugs. Shot is used much more frequently than slugs. Im confident with with mine out to around 50yards with the slugs and a bead sight for an alpha. In reality, as long as you can keep it in the A/C zone your fine.
