  1. I prefer this to the crush or peel washer. It works like a peel without having to heat and peel. http://www.nokick.com/PWS_1_2_Shim_Kit_p/pws%20shim%201-fslash-2.htm
  2. Your not going to get a 2 pound trigger with just a connector swap. If it were that easy vanek and everyone would be out of business
  3. +1 probibally looked in the mag well.
  4. Send the parts to bill springfield
  5. Don't need to try and bend it. I would just contact them and let them see what the problem is if the connector is the only thing to get changed.

I went from a glock, to a 2011 and am probibally going to go back to the glock shortly. I just have more confidence in it right now than I do with the 2011
  7. Is the connector flush with the housing or is angled away from the housing? I have seen schere connectors where they wernt angled away from the housing and wouldnt catch on the connector
  8. There is always 9mm. Brass is way to come by,and inexpensive. For single stack, you get 10 round magazines in the 9mm as well but it is minor. 9mm minor in a single stack 1911 is VERY mild
  9. The drop on all the guns listed should be pretty similar. At the factory drop on any of them it would be pretty uncommon for them to shoot low unless your riding the stock pretty far forward. Big thing in a shotgun is to pattern the gun to see where it shoots. On ammo, I would Go with the Federal walmart 100 packs over the winchester. The federals just run better than the winchester bulks. I have seen numerous problems with the winchesters. I would say go federal, then remington, then winchester for the 100 boxes. At 3 dram 1 1/8 oz thats not exactly a light load and should run on pretty much any gun
  10. What is the fit problem with the 1100? Might be a cheap fix on one
  11. Kind of agree with merlin. Look at the 1911 XT magwells in particular. How many people do you think have those on a carry gun?
  12. Is it pulling off the case rim and leaving the case in the chamber? What length/gas system? If it is pulling off the rim, there is an Oring you can put under the extractor to increase pressure on the extractor. I run that on all mine especially my SBR. If it is a 16 inch carbine gas system the bolt could be coming back too hard and too fast that it pulls off the brass. If that is the case, the oring should fix it and is the cheapest.
  13. At BGSL It is still the first sunday of the month. There is an optional side match rotates between shotgun and rifle on the first sunday match. On the 5th sunday of the month(on the months that have them) is a 3gun shoot. What Kind of gun did you get?

    11-87

Which model 1187 is it, they made a 1187 sporting clays gun that was a 4 shot gun(3 round mag), 2 3/4 only and had extended chokes with it. I Had one that I shot the heck out of and it was very reliable. I just wiped the mag tube down after shooting it which took about 1 min to do and it was good to go. With the O rings they wear out but not that often if you use a proper Oring either the factory one or if your get a non factory one make sure it is VITON. They can be had for dirt cheap if you buy in any quantity. I bought like 125 of them for like 15 bucks shipped. Kept some and sold some to people so I came out ahead lol. ANy gun is going to break parts but the good thing is with the 1100/1187 parts are cheap and plentiful and are very easy guns to fix
  15. Its just a matter of preference. I find the 1911 condition 1 just as safe or safer than say a glock. With the 1911, I have to deactivate the grip safety, deactivate the thumb safety and then pull the trigger. With a glock, Its just pull he trigger. My carry guns have a 3.5 pound trigger compated to the 5.5 pound on a glock. Have had people in carry classes concerned with the glock being carried chambered. The big thing with the 1911s is being familiar enough to operate the safety under stress. The people who shoot them alot it is just second nature to flip the safety. Someone who does not shoot them alot and dont have the muscle memory to flip that safety off would be better suited with a gun without one.
  16. I agree. Shooting that much magnification without it off a rest/bench you will be all over the place with the wobble. 1x4 should be plenty of scope
  17. That could explain why everyone says the Arredondo mags hold 20+1 easier than the others
  18. I would go with a bead and make sure the comb height is correct for you on the stock. I do not even notice the bead on mine unless its slug time
  19. Miami is a good club. You can shoot the matches without being a club member also. Only thing you need is a gun, holster, mag pouches, mags, ears/eyes and ammo. If your short on stuff you could probibibally post what kind of gun on here and get some loaner stuff for a match pretty quick.
  20. I am not a fan of them as it puts the reliability in someones hand other than the shooter. It also allows for someone to be manipulating a gun they may or may not be familiar with operating especially if a reload is used. Try giving someone say an M1Garand who has never shot one have him load it and see what happens lol. If a gun is going to be used it MUST be reliable for everyone. The stage with the coach gun used that broke down and was hard to cock the hammer wasn't up to the challenge of that kind of use.
  21. Dawson makes a replacement sight that is specific to the spartan cut. I have one coming in for mine but have the FO out of the factory one till it comes in
  22. You think you have it expensive, try living close to shooters lol. To easy to stop buy for a quick purchase and leave with a much lighter wallet
  23. I was wondering what the footprint for the strongmount with a 550 was. Looking into possobly getting a reloader but have very little space for one so trying to find out how much the machine takes and go from there.
