Grams Engineering, for both.

Good suggestion, thanks! BTW, I contacted CZ-USA they don't keep those inserts in stock and don't have the PN info to be able to order replacements.

The frame of the TS is different than the TSO. I'm not just talking about the checkering, the dust cover is completely different.

Looking through the 2019 catalog for CZ-USA I noticed that the Tactical Sport is no longer included. The TS Orange and Czechmate are included..

You guys do realize that this thread was posted/started in 2016. Unless the OP has incredible, pope -like patience, I suspect he's found his answer by now

interesting thread. I have a 9mm open pistol that I'm in the process of dialing in. I've shot many rounds of RMR, Precision Delta and Hi-tek coated rounds through it with no visible leading of the comp

I use the thinner, Dillon nuts on my Lee dies and haven't had to place the nut under the tool head yet, although it has come very close.

Warranty Opinion/Thoughts
muncie21 replied to Face5535's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
My reading comprehension skills are not the best, but it seems that the OP broke a part on a 1050, got a free part, broke the same part again and then figured out it was 'user error' (that's my interpretation) that caused part to break again and seems to imply (although not say directly) that Dillon should replace the second broken part, because of purchase history with Dillon. If this understanding is correct, sure ask for a replacement part (doesn't hurt to ask) but I wouldn't get too butt hurt if the request was declined. The OP, being an owner of multiple Dillon presses, should understand the warranty differences between the 1050 and other models. In summary, buy the bolt, learn from your mistakes and move on; life's too short. -
I would think double feeds are more mag related than OAL. My CZ 9mm loads are 1.08" (27.42mm) to 1.09 and feed just fine.

2011 Recoil Analysis (Steel vs Plastic Grip)
muncie21 replied to Frieday's topic in 1911-style Pistols
Interesting experiment, so thanks OP for taking the time to document it and share it with us. I wonder how much of the difference we are seeing in recoil based on grip, is from the familiarity with a specific grip. Meaning if you had practiced with 1 grip for, let's say 6 months, filmed your experiment and then practiced with the other for 6 months and filmed, would we see different results? I doubt anyone has the time or inclination to perform this type of research, so it's more theoretical/hypothesis than anything else. -
If you reach the point where you want to put that CM to pasture, LMK.

Changed brass now 650 wont seat
muncie21 replied to DIYguy's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
If you're on a 650, you should be able to seat and debell (crimp) in separate stations. Unless you're loading for a bullseye competition, you should have everything adjusted so that different cases do not significantly impact the final product. I load 9mm for my CZs using all mixed brass and have never had an issue with the minor variances in OAL, no need to adjust any of the dies either. -
Powder measure quick mount
muncie21 replied to gmantwo's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Why even remove the powder measure at all to remove powder? I have dedicated tool heads for each of my loads, so no need to swap the powder measure from one tool head to another. When I want to dump my powder, I pull the two pins holding the tool head to the press and dump the powder from the hopper with the tool head still attached. -
Any of the open design holsters that secure the pistol by the trigger guard should work. I.e racer, racer x , GB, etc.

I give my postal dude a gift card each year. The amount is proportional to the quantity of bullets and brass that I happen to have ordered that year. BTW, I'm another one that decided the price of the Brazos bullets was too good, to not try them. I have 3500 180gr .40s on the way.

The optic mount that comes with the Czechmate uses two thread inserts to attach the C-more sight. Seems that one of these inserts is missing from my pistol. Looking for a part number and/or place to purchase replacement from.

One thing about Lee FCD that people get confused with is that there's a different design FCD for pistol and rifle calibers; both are marketed as Factory Crimp Dies by Lee, however the design is completely different. The rifle FCD design can definitely swage a bullet if set too tight. The pistol caliber FCD would need to be grossly mis-adjusted (could be wrong but have 5 of them) to swage a bullet.
-
My secret sauce is the Lee FCD and a sprinkle of patience. I have 2 Dillon 650 tool heads dedicated to .40 (one for competition and the other load development) one has Dillon dies with Lee FCD the other is all Lee (except powder die). Both crank out ammo that passes my Dillon case gauge and plunk/spin in my CZs. Most of the rounds will not sit flush in the Hundo, however I've verified enough rounds to know how high is too high and won't work in my pistols. I've loaded many thousands of coated bullets (BBI, Bayou, Galant, others) with this setup and no issues, all on mixed head stamp range brass for the most part; I save 1x brass for major matches.

I picked up a newer DVC in .40 and immediately noticed that the scalloping at the rear of the slide does not provide as much grip as the slots machined on the Edge slides. When racking the slide during an unloaded start, I use the overhand technique, however even with this I have to grip the slide much harder and more carefully than I do with my Edge. Has anyone else encountered this? Any way to fix aside from grip tape or machining the slide?

I picked up some of the Brazos just to check them out. Use code AR15GRANDOPENING for 10% discount, good for the rest of this (Mar) month

Yep, that is CZ USA's offering. CZC also sells them individually.

My Hundo has tighter tolerance than my Dillon case gauge. Luckily the tolerance of the barrels on my pistols is greater than both the Dillon or Hundo. Moral of the story- use your barrel as a case gauge if you're unsure. I use my Hundo for mass case gauging before a match, however I have enough experience with it to know how high is too high for my guns.

My Brother Cheby, Google is your friend! Both CZC and CZ USA have these available here in the US, for much less than that.
