  1. they are, they're made by different companies. lol, i go from confused to more confused quite easliy. I see now...thanks. Actually, the EGW U die is made by Lee to EGW's specs. egw's site cleared that up for me earlier. That's good to know, thanks. If for nothing else than keeping me from spreading bad info
  2. I don't get it either. I'm thinking they're in a circle or diamond pattern. There's only 4 shooting boxes and five strings of fire. So moving in a clockwise direction, or ccw, would bring you back to the original box to finish the drill. I like it, that's a cool drill.

  4. I think they should call it the "Yvette(Edna) Awesome Customer Service" model. Just sayin, I mean you don't even work there anymore and you're still helping out.
  5. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=107821&st=0&p=1231184&hl=model%2010&fromsearch=1entry1231184 check out this thread, it's got lots of pics too
  6. It's not a mental. or it's not a conscious process?
  7. My wife thinks I'm captain stinky, especially after some good tacos and burritos. Used to be just Captain Kevin, I've still got a 100 ton Masters License. We met on a boat I was working on. I must have eaten better that day Awesome thread, everybody's the captain of something!
  8. Somewhere in the middle of this epic thread she described the process. She just asked the assembly guys to make the regular 24" turkey barrel but without ports. It was a verbal link between her and the people making the barrels. So there's no part number and unless the person you get on the phone is willing to convince the shop to make one then I'm guessing we're waiting until the comp model comes out. That's why it took several weeks to get one, they were one offs. Sure do miss Edna being at Mossberg. According to a post by Benny Hill somewhere in the middle of this epic thread the full on competition models should be coming out somewhere around the end of August. He posted 12-16 weeks in mid April. It is encouraging to see that the specs for the new model have been posted. When that model comes out then I'm hoping they'll be a production barrel that can be purchased. Bottom line, be really nice to the person on the phone and maybe they can ask the shop people to make one, or wait a bit and it should be a regular production item. Kevin
  9. Just checked out the pictures. Looks great! Thanks for representing USA! Would love to see some more pics of the rifles used. Looks like they're pretty interesting. Kevin
  10. I run 24gr of TAC at 2.250 with WSR. 2729fps out of my 1-8 18in DPMS.
  11. Try it with your index finger, if you don't like it then put on the ambi release. With the ambi you can use either method.
  12. You can absolutely learn how to go lefty. Really no tips other than slow, accurate dry fire practice to develop the new side. I broke my right wrist once and had to learn to do everything lefty for awhile. At first it feels like a foreign language, because it is. It's amazing how adaptable the brain is. It's gonna take a while, but maybe not as long as you think. If you want to keep shooting you can, don't give up. Kevin
  13. I like this pic of TJ for thinking of a well balanced neutral position. He's moving, but centered and ready to engage a target as soon as it's available. Great shot by Brit too!
  14. +1 to these guys. I've ordered from them several times. Great service. Check out their bone yard deals.
  15. Dude, that's cool. I'm gonna make one of those. Thanks
  16. http://www.icore.org/archive/2011/SouthwestRegionalResults2011.html scores are up
  17. I voted no because ICORE runs an outstanding National level event every year. The IRC is a great match devoted to wheel guns. I know it's not USPSA, but I think it fills the need for a platform specific national event very well. Just my .02. Kevin
  18. I can see wanting a non lethal way to mark unarmed suspects. But why does that entail melting down their sidearms? http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2011/04/border-patrol-replaces-guns-with-nlaim-die-markers/ Kevin
  19. "You need to make shooting A's a way of life, so much so that you never, ever, worry about shooting A's. In practice or matches. It's just what you do. That's my feeling. BE" Always shoot A's.
  20. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2011/03/federal-authorities-seeking-suspect-in-alleged-scheme-to-sell-phony-holographic-rifle-sights-online.html I guess just use a vendor you trust? Don't know how you'd know except for the probable lack of quality. Kevin
  21. That's a really good question. I've sprayed mine out with plastic safe electronics cleaner. It's mainly alcohol. But with heavy mud I dunno. Maybe soak them in water and simple green and then blast with cleaner to get the water out. Kevin
