  1. I ran 2.8 grains n 320. Made 740 fps with the 165 xtreme bullets. Very soft and very accurate.
  2. Been doing it for several years. Wore out one gun working on another.
  3. Nice rifle. Waiting on one being built right now. Been using one of my 3 gun rifles as a long range gun. On the plus side I have glass waiting on a new ride. I went with 6.5 cm because of factory ammo.
  4. Has anyone tried one of the 22" 6.5 cm uppers. Was wanting a bolt gun but I do like my gas guns. Looking for one to shoot some long range with.
  5. I set mine @ 3" high @ 100 yds. Then go to plate rack @ 300 to verify. I use a 2 moa dot.
  6. I run a 9 and 40 in 3 gun. Chances of shooting 23 rds from one position is not likely. I am more accurate with the 6" 40. If the targets get small and far I go with the 40. I can load my 40 softer than my 9mm. With one second down per point coming to Idpa a 40 makes more sense with the bigger bullet.
  7. I run WST at about 950 fps with 155 gr bulletworks lead bullets. Usually for steel matches. I only load them to minor speeds.
  8. With another maker the removal of the lube groove added bullet weight to 185 gr. This was a couple of years ago. Same powder charge.
  9. Pushing close to 20 yrs shooting matches. The vision is starting to drop off. I find it harder to want to shoot the more physical 3 gun matches. I vote with my dollars and avoid the matches that want to make the matches more physical. I will be shooting fewer matches and mostly pistol next year.
  10. It should be out there. For me it is a vision issue. I can see the 6" much clearer and faster.
  11. I have both calibers. I prefer the 40 with Tripp 10mm mags. I practice with both and I am faster with the 40. I do like the 200 in my 40. I normally shoot 230 gr in my 45.
  12. I don't want to build get another platform to keep up with. I am classified in all divisions, but have only shot limited and single stack for a while. I figure if you are going to use a dot then go open. The divisions were created then the shooter who wanted it started to cry the didn't like the rules. They seemed to be expecting open rules with no comp. Just my take on the whole thing. Mike
  13. They are very crimp sensitive. I don't care to watch the crimp. so I just use Zero for jacketed and Bayou for coated. No issues with them. Having one less thing to worry about is really nice. The cost savings is not worth it.
  14. Thanks guys. I am going to order some this week. Grips are already on the way. Saw the sigs and they were way more expensive.
  15. Just curious but what is the life of these guns? I have been running my M2 for 8 years. I am going to switch to open for next season. Trying to decide what mag fed gun to go to.
  16. Picked up a Tac ops model. Needing std length mags for production division. Probably need 6. Looking into Blade tech for the holster.
  17. I am curious to see how hard they are compared to Federal. I am down to 15k of fed. With my son shooting I have really gone thru them lately.
  18. I use N340 with 180 gr bayou for 3 gun. It will hold all shots in head at 20 yds without trying. Guns just sits on target. About 140pf.
  19. I junk it when I see them. Primer pocket issues.
  20. Hope mine went thru fine. The storms down here had some highways headed north shut down for a few days.
  21. I was never able to get consistent drops out of the Hornady powder measure. I rigged up a Dillon measure and fixed the problems.
