  1. Depends on who you ask. I've got a new barrel in my 5.4 and it still won't shoot a nice group with plated. Moly and lead are fine.
  2. Like Sarge said, this is one of those things we can't talk about on here......
  3. If it is still early enough in the build process for you to be asking this question, then I will give you my opinion. For me the Tactical Micro Pockets are great for a carry gun, but not aggressive enough when compared to the 120 grit grip tape or the Aggressive Micro Pockets. My current build will have the AMP, but really only because I like for potential clients to be able to hold and compare the two. The AMP is very aggressive and somewhat painful to grip, but I think you (I) can get used to it and the real benefit is you will never have to reapply it like grip tape. With that said, I really prefer Grip Tape for a couple reasons. #1, you can completely change the look of your gun for a few buck with different colors and designs of grip tape. #2, you can choose between 120 grit and 60 grit grip tape. The 60 is only available in black, but it is grippier than the AMP and more comfortable at the same time.
  4. Absolutely personal preference. The full length dust cover with fluting does scream sexy. But for performance, it's not needed and costs more. Every cut adds to the cost.
  5. Sounds like too much coffee or something....
  6. They also have the little white screws to add more tension.
  7. I would go with their Widebody design with the Signature grip. They've designed their magazines to sit higher in the gun and feeding reliability is greatly improved. I would go with the Stirrup cut on a 9mm because you don't need the extra weight of a FLDC or even the Butler cut.
  8. Maybe God is protecting you....
  9. Burn, Boom, whatever. The plant was smoking when all was said and done I'm sure. Regardless there is no clays. And when it starts "hitting dealers shelves in January" means you guys that use it might see it by next summer unless you are on an early back order list somewhere. I wasn't poking at you Sarge. I'm just glad there might be some Clays in the near future!!
  10. I am not into Pretty Pistols but those are some of the Ugliest Glocks I have ever seen.
  11. I've been impressed with the quality of my ZEV and though they may be expensive compared to a stock Glock, they are less than Salient. Not to mention, that of all the ones I've handled, they seem to be very consistent. I spent some time on SSVI's Facebook yesterday and his stuff looks neat and is definitely different. I'd be curious to try one of his triggers when he get them into production.
  12. Congratulations!! All it takes is a moderate amount of consistent dry fire practice, occasional live fire practice and a couple matches a month to improve. Let's face it, most people/shooters don't have the time or ammo to live fire practice as much as we'd like to. Dry fire (for me) was easy to do in the beginning because I was so ate up with shooting and the sport. After a while, it can become boring and feel more like work than fun. It sounds like you are in the fun stage and I'm jealous of you!! Keep up the good work!!
  13. Sorry 40 is correct. So bolen is now Taran T? No. We purchased the patent from Bolen. And have greatly improved the product in my opinion.
  14. I handled one of these in 9mm yesterday at a local gunshop. The slide to frame fit was what you would expect from STI, but the ambi safety was extremely mushy and the trigger was harsh, probably in the 5+ pound range.
  15. I need a pair of them myself........it sucks
  16. I don't have experience with a ZEV34, but my ZEV17 is awesome. It looks awesome, it shoots fast and flat, and has an awesome trigger for a Glock!!
  17. 12-18 months. Their move to the new factory got them behind and they have been busting their humps to get caught up. I saw my new 5.4" yesterday and the card indicated i should have it in July. It will be a pretty neat design. 5.4" sight tracker, stainless duotone with diamond serrations, aggressive micro pocket grip with Texas Ranger badge engraving in the grip...
  18. You are going to hear a wide variety of opinions from Enos members because we all have our favorites. Mine, as you can tell is Infinity Firearms. One of the more expensive brands with the longest wait time. But, that too, should tell you something. And, they hold their value. I just sold a 3 year old Limited gun with nearly 19 thousand rounds through it for $3250. www.sviguns.com check them out....
  19. Get it done Rookie, get it done...
  20. I own two Glocks, but no blue suits. Guess I need to go buy a blue suit now.
  21. A Glock is like a Blue Suit, everybody needs at least one.....
