  1. PD JHP = 8.9cents shipped Xt RN = 9.6 cents shipped. Seems like an easy decision to me.
  2. I shoot neither but have shot both. I'd choose the Walther. IMO, the most accurate out of the box polymer gun made. I've never had a M&P shoot very well. I'm sure it's a load development issue but the Q5 has been so awesome! I shoot a G34 in CO so, I'm not just trying to push what I shoot to reinforce my choices!
  3. Haven't you heard? Shorties and full size are the best. I'll buy that 5" off you.
  4. Most people don't realize that "natrual talent" is due to a lot of work put in behind the scenes.
  5. USPSA B class in life is still IDPA Master class. So,.....
  6. Just looks a tad short in that pic. I'm just trying to decide if I want to go 5 or 5.5. I would like to shoot them side by side with all esle being equal. My gun is a full size but it's plastic grip and steel comp so shooting it next to a all steel middy isn't going to give me the feedback I'm wanting. Gonna just have to flip a coin. It's not like the difference is going to make or break my performance.
  7. People shooting akai are gonna tell you akai and vice versa. If possible try to shoot both. If that's not an option, you're gonna have to go with your gut. I've shot one from both and they're awesome so you really can't make a bad choice, IMO! Also, like someone else here mentioned, give venom custom a look. You'll probably end up saving some $!
  8. I can't answer your question but I'd like to give one a try. Not sure I'm gonna spend $129 though....
  9. I wipe down mags and inside of grip with silcon costed rag. I use a razor blade to debur around mag release cut out and front lip at top of mag. All that said, I find the most important thing is to keep grip vertical while depressing (hard) the mag release. All the above makes for the most reliable/consistent magazine release. The "wrist flick" does not make for consistent reloads.
  10. I'm still trying to decide if I want to go 5" or full size? Once I make my mind up, I'm gonna to get the ball rolling. What barrels are y'all going with for 5" hybrids?
  11. I disagree. I think an optic is faster no matter what.
  12. Pretty sure Atlas says they prefer FP10. It's cheap. Not as cheap as motor oil but...
  13. Glock mags suck! So does the cost of 2011 mags so,.....
  14. I don't get them either and I've checked my junk folder and it tired signing up again and it said it's in the system already.
  15. Is it weird that we have a set of classifiers (the new ones) that should be easier to 100% on vs all the rest that are harder? HQ has confirmed what we all were thinking. They took the top 10 and averaged them to come up with the hhf for the 18 series. Except CO. They had to use production scores. Which to me seems to make CO even easier. In my mind, that should indicate that their system doesn't make sense. The new ones have only been shot about 1,100 times at a national level match where maximum points is the goal! Compare that to ones that have been shot 10k times at loacals where people are swinging for home runs and don't care if they strike out. Doesn't seem like apples to apples to me.
  16. You email Chuck and tell him your user name on this fourm and he adds you.
  17. I gotta ask, are these used to put forward/downward pressure to try and keep the gun from rising? Or, is it there to rest your thumb on? Seems like it'd be easy to torque the gun to the strong side if you're not careful. I've never used one.
  18. While I'm new to open and only have a 9 major gun, I have to agree with this. I can't coment on the .38 SC being softer but the cost of 9 major is why I chose it over SC. If the price would have been equal I would have gone with SC. I'd guess everyone else would as well. I don't pick up brass. When I'm done with a match, I'm ready to leave not stick around for another hour. In between shooters during the match, I'm either getting ready to shoot or loading mags or helping so, I don't want to be hunting for brass.
  19. Yes. On the clock, I can't tell any difference!
  20. Am I the only one that doesn't see much difference in between different powder/bullet combos? I've tried several different powders and 115 and 124 bullets. I don't see much difference between them.
