  5. Where do you buy it? I don't want to have to call them to find local dist...kinda lazy I s'pose. They don't seem like they want to sell it on line. Thanks Round gun!
  6. Even better link...to the whole set on Austin City Limits. About 14 minutes in he sets that trombone on fire
  7. [full disclosure: I was a trombone player in HS] OK so maybe this tune isn't quite what you'd expect on a gun board. Let's put is under the heading of "finding music for your honey" or what ever works for you...but this dude puts down. He plays the trombone as well as he plays the trumpet in this one...certainly not a bad singer. Well worth the 9 minutes...soothes your soul. Search for his other tunes on the you tuber - quite a lot of talent with this player. Makes me wonder how many hours HE practiced everyday...more than me for sure.
  8. My dog is a cattle dog...only works with moving objects. I need a cadaver dog because I cannot find the obviously present dead vermin

  11. Never say never. I'm preparing to do something I swore I would never do. Photo a wedding. I helped my brother back in the day some when he did weddings, but never desired to be a wedding photographer. I've shot a lot of things/people/places just not one of these. Good news/bad news - it is for a friend and a small wedding - but...there are still MOBs/FOBs and crazy people in general at weddings. Did I mention that it is in Gatlinburg, TN?! Suddenly I'm a destination wedding guy Don't get me started on gatlinburg no offense TN guys but geeze...there's everything there that makes my skin crawl...'cept the go-karts ANyway...just burning off some nervous pre-shoot jitters...thanks for listening Have a nice weekend all!
  12. I thought he was selling toupees...Christie sells exercise
  13. Probably a Mossberg or Savage bolt action. Brings back old memories...as a kid shooting off my dad's 410 bolt gun in the backyard on new years freezing cold.

    OS-X Lion

Thanks for the link. I'll take a look. That is pretty much what I've figured all along. And why do we need 6GB RAM on laptops that are just web surfers...there is a lot of bloat in there somewhere. Don't get me wrong I need all the power I can get - and more. To me is is like buying a car and the first time you need brakes, "oh yeah, sorry but they don't make that size any more. You must upgrade." - regardless that you paid tons for it in the first place. It seems to me that it is just a push for us to join the "cloud" and lease our software through the web...just billing your account each month. You want v2.0 sure just a few more $$ a month sir...which you'll be forced into within six months anyway as they discontinue "support" of your version...sorry about the rant I sure wish I could just go sell shells by the seashore. Cash only. No website either, thanks.

And a quick follow up for my favorite undocumented feature (aka bug)... Dreamweaver CS4: Color Picker returns incorrect sample color See "Color Picker returns incorrect sample color | Dreamweaver CS4 | Mac OS 10.7 Lion" (cpsid_90683)

My problem app is a photo quoting tool. But I'm not updating my machine anyway. I run CS4/Snow Leopard/etc and will into the foreseeable future....I hope But check this link. This goes to adobe article entitled "Known Issues with Adobe products on Mac OS 10.7 Lion" It seems Quicken and several others are not running or are having rosetta issues. Did apple not see this coming or was this just the same old story of strong arming users and developers? :angry2:
  19. Nice effect. typically done with a tilt/shift lens which gives it that "tiny" look...which isn't really what a TS lens is for but this is becoming a popular style...and still it is much harder to do with a TS lens. I just got a TS lens am I'm still working out the procedure for consistent tiny shots. The real use for TS is controlling perspective for architecture and product photos. A tilt sift lens can make all the pieces on a chess board have their heads in focus but the base out of focus byt shifting the focal plane. Nice bike too! PS here's a neat example using time lapse...not my sample but cool.
