  1. Sexy... Another people of walmart classic.
  2. Nice Nik! It is hard to beat that 70-200 f4 for light/fast handling and "cheap" The Sigma 85 gets good reviews fyi. I could never warm up to the 85 1.8 Canon...not sure why. I wish my first lens was the 135L just for the sheer beauty of the images...but that would have led to a life of disappointment as that is "the best" lens in the line...IMHO. I have on of the Bower/Samyang/etc 8mm fisheyes and have been quite happy with such a bargain lens...and I'm like you (probably) and don't mind manual focus. And you likely know this but here is a great place to buy with great prices. http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/board/10 You have to be a member to sell there but not to browse...let me know if you see anything there you "need". Also start looking for the "low cap" CF cards for that 1D2 - 1,2 GB. I don't think they like the new 8GB+ cards. That 1D is a great score too...I'd save that for rainy days :-) And one more piece of un-needed advice but buy LightRoom 4 if you don't already have it I give it 5 stars
  3. Welcome back! Let's see more.
  4. don't they sell condoms at wal-mart?!
  5. Wasn't really sure...'til ~2:00 oh yeah that is icky...esp when combined with the pelvic thrust w/sound ...but I'm no pro

    2 Wheelers

    They already do.
  9. GF found this "giant" in the garden yesterday...I shot it with a 135mm (lens that is). He looks freshly fed and happy in the sun...maybe I was a snake in a past life. I don't keep snakes as pets but certainly don't have a fear of them...I meant they aren't spiders after all...those are scary After the photo shoot he was off to eat more vermin in the rose garden.

These you discuss are not cyclists...they are bike riders. Owning a GAP rifle does not a sniper make.
  11. I used to have that habit too...but now after this thread I tend to listen up - tough not to laugh, cry, or help out sometimes, too...but then I become part of the problem. Been there done that...like the time I dropped a minty HK94 lower onto the show room floor "Idiot"-tommy boy Well it was mine but still...
  12. Glad to hear you're OK. I guess no modeling future for you :-) I can't offer any thoughts on the failure however... Glad to hear your optics are fine too
  13. but I have been struck by lightening
  14. Mine came from selling HiFi. My 85 VW Golf was our Alpine/Carver Demo car. It would literally take your breath. When mine starts bothering me I just turn up the background music/noise - ironic isn't it.
  15. I would like to recoup some dough from the diamond that is in my late wife's engagement ring. It is silly to keep the thing...but my guess is it isn't worth half what I paid. I bought it through a friend in the biz so I know i got a very good price but... I thought about giving it to someone in the family but decided against it. I mentioned selling it to a guy who buys "scrap" gold. He said they don't give anything for diamonds...they pay for gold only. You should have seen the bag of diamonds they took out of rings etc Mostly smalls but dang! You could bedazzle a booney hat with all those things. This is NOT a big rock - I being a guy, bought the nicest stone I could afford not the biggest. In retrospect this was a mistake - gals want big stones not "VS1" etc...their girl friends don't want any other specs that carat Don't flame me ladies - just an observation. My GF isn't really into diamonds - this is good as I hate them and the diamond biz overall. Thoughts? thanks in advance
  16. Gold prices always seems like they are too high...that is what I said at $400 oz. A very good friend guys gold coins and bought tons when it was "cheap" but it is only worth 1600 if he sells it. If able I would still buys some at this high price. It is pretty cool holding a bunch of gold coins. The place he buys from has a minimum of $20K...which isn't really all that many OZ coins But you can buy 1/10 oz gold too. It has been higher than platinum lately and that doesn't really make sense to me. I think the global metal markets are tougher now than ever to figure out...palladium, etc now making huge profits on scarce availability. Also don't forget gold is measured in troy oz...thats 31 grams per oz not 28 gr/oz. kitco.com is a good place to check spot etc... Good luck!
  17. Those LB 1911's are REALLY tight...you have to rack it like this...putting his hand over the front, hand completely covering the barrel, and push back hard. OK then...no cocking serrations needed then I guess.
