  1. Ever try showing up at an icore match with a "bottom feeder"? Ever try showing up at that big Memphis charity match with a "bottom feeder"? Ever notice that Revo guys refer to us and our guns as "bottom feeders"? Around here, Revo guys are some of the funnest people on the range (Team Bubber) and I have zero animosity toward any of them. But I am PTFO about the paradigm shift in our sport to accomodate a sliver of the membership.
  2. Troy took the issue back to the board. It remains to be seen what'll happen. But they know that the episode isnt over. Why the info isnt posted for the membership is just bewildering.
  3. As of this writing, those Classifiers are still on the USPSA website and there is no mention of them being retired. Has the USPSA changed their mind? Does it take more than an email from 1 board member to retire a bunch of Classifiers and fundamentally change Classifiers to a 6 shot neutral only system? Or, is it still just a poorly executed action that ignores the expectations of the membership? I encourage you match directors out there to continue to use these Classifiers. I wrote to my S/C, A/D, and the President to express my opinion and displeasure. The A/D responded immediately and contacted me to discuss it. The S/C responded as well. I'm disappointed that Phil did not respond.
  4. I disagree. A quirk in this Division has created an issue that is affecting everyone else. Its the smallest Division. Less than 1% in my estimation. Thats not selfish. A still insist that USPSA as a whole losing a handful of classifiers to try to better the revolver division is hardly " affecting everybody else " . You can shoot your division just the same as before, in the grand scheme of things, you not being able to shoot "whatever" classifier that was retired, is really not a big deal. Most USPSA shooters consider retired Classifiers a big deal. 'Pulled' Classifiers, especially brand-new ones, should be considered a very big deal. New Classifiers come along so seldom, that a whole bunch of retired and pulled Classifiers is a very very big deal. The bigger issue is that everybody knew that adding 8-shot Revo would affect the HHF's. Then they added some Classifiers that would be drastic examples of this. Then as a stop-gap, knee-jerk reaction, they pulled out a ton of Classifiers including a bunch of the new ones. So, yeah, I think it affects everybody.

  6. My suggestion was to make a Revo an unclassified Division. Theres only 2 classes anyway; Jerry, and not-Jerry. But it sure seems like they could shelve the input of Classifier scores for Revo only until there is some 'buildup' of HHF's.
  7. Burden of proof is on the prosecution. They would have to prove that you havent had them for years. (No, I'm not a lawyer.)
  8. Antichrome, Do you use the RLN mag pouches and are you happy with them? Thanks, Jeremy Yes, and yes. Keep in mind though, they hold the mags in fairly close to the body. If you're a big guy, or have some, uh, overlap, you may want to stick with some thing like a CR Speed pouch, or one of the new bullet out designs.
  9. It is what the BOD is doing to our classifiers that seems to be getting people upset. I wonder how many people have contacted the BOD, their Area Director, Section Coordinator, Mr President, etc. to voice their concern. When I contacted my AD, I was the first and only one.
  10. Nice. Significantly cheaper than the shockbottle basepads. I'd like to see a side by side comparison.
  11. I have been attempting to write my S/C, AD, and Prez about this issue. But honestly I get so mad about it that I cant put it into words without getting uncivil. Revo shooters wanted 8 round guns because they would be competitively superior to 6 shooters. Now we have to make all classifiers 6 round neutral to keep the HHF's from going thru the ceiling...which proves that the 8 rounders are superior. Why does it suck that some Classifiers got pulled? Because the new ones were pretty cool. Some of us got to shoot them as Nationals stages and were hoping to shoot them as Classifiers. We did all this for what? 2 dozen full-time, everytime, dedicated Revo guys? Even if the (imagined) 200 Icore shooters crossed over into USPSA ...does it make a difference to the other 20,000 of us? I truly believe that this is not only the most misguided thing USPSA has ever done, I also believe it is the most poorly executed.
  12. So you would stop shooting Production if this change happened? If Production, which often has the most participation, became a splintered, bastardized Division, then yes, I'd go back to Limited.
  13. Evidence? Theory? Pfft. My opinion is formed because of the 6 Divisions we have now, only 3 have consistent heavy participation at all levels from local to regional to national.
  14. All safe and range worthy guns are already in Open. Then, if the gun and equip meets certain simple criteria, they can be divided out into Divisions. Open means open, not just red dots, comps and big sticks. If you want to shoot some oddball configuartion that doesnt fit into an existing Division, then shoot Open. We need less Divisions, not more.
  15. You mean in Revolver Division specifically right? Cuz I've seen 8 shot revos in "sanctioned USPSA events" before...just not in the Revolver Division.
  16. The ladies, as good as they are, will not approach the men's performance. The high ladies put in solid B scores at Prod Nats and barely A scores at Open and Limited Nats. Top 16 is a long way off, much less top 10. Look at low effort sports like billiards, bowling etc. The ladies still don't perform on par with the men.
  17. Randi Rogers teaches the press-out (and the scoop draw) to juniors. At the 3.10 mark: http://youtu.be/C9IresOxqLI?t=3m5s
