  1. I've stippled grey and red grips without a problem.
  2. This is on my wish list for such a gun: http://automaticaccuracy.net/?wpsc-product=dan-wesson-eco
  3. Salomon has only recently learned that they are the shoe of choice for the shooting sports and they're excited about it. It'll be interesting to see if we get some support from them soon. Its great to attract non-shooting specific suppliers to the sport.
  4. I use a Comp Tac for mine. I also have a Safariland 5188 that fits perfectly.

    P-09?

Well crap, there goes my idea for a cheap spare gun;-)

    P-09?

Its uses different mags than the CZ75 platform?
  7. Thanks for the info Mike! RIA should make that a factory option. Being able to use STI mags would double or triple the appeal of these guns to guys like me.
  8. Seeklander has been writing about these on his blog. However, the 2011 .40 review shows a 1911 pistol and mag in the associated photo. http://blog.shooting-performance.com/category/site-menu/gear-reviews/ But he does rundown several RIA guns. I'd be interested to know more about modifying the 2011 guns to accept STI mags. Is it just a matter of trimming the mag catch somehow, or is it major surgery?
  9. Hmmm. I'll bump my offer up to $325. My Shadow has north of 50K rounds thru it without any such problem. It has lost accuracy a couple of times. 1. Rear sight was cracked and moved up/down while cycling. I couldnt figure out why my elevation wasnt consistant. Then it broke off, I replaced it, accuracy returned. 2. During a practice session, the gun wouldnt shoot a group...and had malfunction after malfunction. I field stripped it and as I did, the slide stop came out in pieces. Replaced the part, and no problems since. I dont think your gun is shot out. You have lots of options. I'll bet Stuart fixes you up. I'd get together with Burningsquirrels if you guys are local to each other. If it were mine, I'd take it to Matt Mink.
  10. Auto-Ordnance 1911. An old, beat up one that is so loose it rattles...
  11. 14+1 just isnt going to be competitive, you'll be running an uphill battle. Is your CZ SAO? If its a DA/SA model, then go 10+1 and run in Production.
  12. I just sat in on tonights planning session for this match. It looks like its gonna be great. 12 hot stages, with a little more steel than last year.
  13. Because they knew all along that they would just be put back in...and now they are.
  14. Problem solved. All the pulled Classifiers are reinstated. Very few people will move up due to this, thru the use of Classifier Status Code 'A' Let the chips fall where they may.
  15. I'm a huge F1 fan and also a casual F1 history buff. This was the best movie I've seen in a long time. I loved every minute of it. Those guys were obsessed with the same goal and worked that obsession in very different ways. Neat stuff.
  16. I built one of the homemade fillers with an old Lee handpress flip tray...the results were ok. I bought a nifty little tube filler device (called the purple primer eater) from a group buy...it included a little xxxtoy vibrator to wiggle the primers into the tube. It was the most worthless shooting/reloading related device I've ever purchased. To be fair, the maker refunded me...I suspect he knew that his invention sucked. So, when I went into cabela's and saw Vibraprimes for $50 bucks, I bought one. Mine works perfectly. The device shown in the original post here, looks like a convoluted headache. I pick up primers manually faster than that.
  17. This issue was brought up in another thread recently. Several Revo guys said that 'bottom feeders' were "welcome" at icore matches. I have been denied entry into an icore match with a semi-auto. I just looked at a couple of entry forms for icore matches...there is no place for a semi-auto listed in the Divisions. ChrisC just stated that they arent allowed at the okc match. The icore rule book says: 1. All firearms used in ICORE matches must be revolvers with a .32 magnum caliber or greater...
  18. Even in kalifornia, your holster maker should be able to find a 2011 to use for a pattern.
  19. "bottom feeders" are welcomed with open arms at our ICORE match. They compete against each other in the fun division. Guess we'll have to wait and see what Kyle reports back from the board. Thats a perfect solution. Have the Revo's compete against each other in the "fun division", and not screw up the entire uspsa classifier system.
