    Tilt!

at shorter ranges it doesnt matter much, at longer distances how far your sight picture/dot is away from the bore will matter as to how far off your impact will be due to tilt. dont quote me as im sure my numbers are off im going off my memory, but at 1000yds a 6degree tilt on a rifle will move your poi by about 30". so it matters, but at 50yds and under for most pistol shooting, not too much.
  4. are you seeing something other than the base plates popping off? the baseplates was an assembly issue, and long resolved.
  5. just the frame stripped down. hot soapy water, and a tooth brush. its a chunk of plastic, its not complicated.
  6. for sure hotter primer, or a different powder is needed. that combo is lacking in space/time/heat to burn everything.
  7. its for sure not the first choice, but if you need to make it work, it'll git 'er done.
  8. it essentially would bond the optic to the slide, but you could still remove. it just wouldnt be easy as you would have to clean up the dried loc-tite afterwards. do not red loc-tite the screws, no one is advocating that.
  9. if you are set on your optic, and it doesnt need to be removed to replace the battery, squirt some red loc-tite down and screw the optic on. loc-tite bonds to more than screws!
  10. it comes with experience. subtle hint, on your forward/support hand point your pointer finger outward the same direction as the barrel. its kind of subconscious, but your eyes tend to go where your finger is pointing, and if your head is firmly on the stock, the gun and your eyes will be pointing in the same place.
  11. it says sig on the side, so its bound to be high!
  12. ive always like Ted Yost's work. he makes beautiful guns.
  13. your gun mount has to be consistent. if you mount the gun different each time, well its never going to hit the same place twice. then as mentioned above, put the gun on paper so your mind can visualize where the gun is hitting. also touched on above, gun fit. if the gun fits you, it will hit where you are looking, and it will hurt you much less. you can shoot well with a gun that doesnt fit, but it is so much easier if it does.
