  1. Thank you. I am using that powder and bullet weight but have a pretty big cushion over power factor. I'm going to be dropping a tenth or two off the charge. The new grip did exactly what I was hoping it would do. I'm stoked!
  2. More eye candy... This is my new, "old" open gun In my attempt to tame the beast I sent it back to SVI to have the Signature grip installed hoping the added weight would help me control recoil a little better. We'll find out tomorrow. I really like the aggressive micro pockets. They are very aggressive and I will probably come away with some battle scars. Here is a pic of their competition magwell before I scratch it all up. It appears to be the exact same size as the Dawson Ice. Thanks again Brandon
  3. Since the wife is "in charge" of the netflix account and this movie is not on her list, I had to buy it if I wanted to watch it. It was a pretty good action flick for blue-ray and surround sound. Kept the subwoofer pump'n. But it will probably go in the cabinet with the rest, never to be seen again.
  4. Sad news indeed. He will be greatly missed. Please keep his wife and family in your prayers.
  5. Good for you!!! You've already made it thru the hardest part. Deciding to quit and the first few days. It's all easier from here. Hang in there and be proud that your willpower was stronger than your addiction.
  6. Well it's been 2 years today since I smoked my last cig. I don't think a day has gone by that I haven't wanted one or thought about it but it's definately over. I've lost all the weight I gained after stopping and I feel the best I've felt in 20 years. I was actually able to get a life insurance policy recently on a "Preferred Non-Smoker" rate . Thanks everyone who posted all the words of encouragement edited, can't spell
  7. That would be my guess... My other guess would be that someone shot some video and put it on youtube without first asking permission of the person in the video thereby disrespecting their privacy. The person who was video'd complains about it and rules have to be implemented all because the person shooting the vid didn't consider or respect the feelings of others... but that's just my guess...no facts whatsoever
  8. Jon, don't be so hard on yourself. Some of us actually strive to shoot as well as you and look forward to the day we can beat you. Thought I had done it today but when I looked over the scores it seems they forgot to add in an "extra shot" procedural that I had on stage 3 Virginia Count. Soooo. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
  9. I'm afraid that ageing eyes dictate that I shoot open...but it's all good.
  10. Hello. I'm no expert but I think your doing a fine job. Your reloads seem smooth and deliberate and you're watching the mag in. It shows that you have spent a considerable amount of time practicing this and now just need to fine tune a few things. The main thing I see is you should get the gun up a little more for your reload. In frame #1 of your pictures your eye is lined up with the sights. In the last frame after the reload, your gun is lower and didn't line back up with your eye. Keeping the gun up at eye level might help you get back on target faster. Then the other things that have been mentioned like keeping the gun pointed downrange and dropping the mag while the gun is vertical and loading the new mag with the gun about 45 degrees. Just need to fine tune what you've already learned. Keep up the good work.
  11. Hope you guys work it out and enjoy the time you have together.
  12. Not sure where I was when this came out but I had never heard of it. The wife got it on Netflix and it sat around the house for a week because it didn't sound like the sort of thing I normally watch but we watched it last night. Wow! Pretty intense story line. As many twists and turns as the road to Hana. And I never cared for BA as an actor but was impressed at his directing ability. Liked the fact that he used "real", "ordinary" people in the cast instead of the typical "pretty" people.
  13. first question_are you ok? second question_did the 25th round leave the barrel? contact STI and PWC
  14. I'm not there yet...but what's helping me is when I started focusing on shooting "clean" matches (no penalties or mikes) and stopped worrying so much about how fast I could shoot a stage.
  15. Yeah... I use the 92 in my vortex max. Last Sunday it was 4.99999999999. Anybody want to buy a 12 mpg truck?
  16. DonT

    So there I was...

...and I thought to myself, I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago.
  17. Another vote for Lonesome Dove, and North and South.
  18. Yeah, I do. I have my trigger finger a little farther away and a little straighter than my other three fingers but I try not to make it noticable.
  19. I kinda feel sorry for the Costco here. It's right by the Maui airport so a lot of the tourists stop there as soon as they get off the plane. They stock up on everything they need for their vacation. Beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel/mask, beach chairs, laptops, chips/dips, etc. On their way back to the airport they stop at Costco and return everything. Yep, even open bags of chips
  20. As others have mentioned, the right size is key. Not sure about walnuts but for corn cob media you'll want to look for Medium Size 14-20. Before I found out the hard way, I would blow out the media with an air nozzle:)
  21. You might try Walmart. They have them on sale sometimes. I've bought several for the jobsite. The design (frame) of the 10x10 seems to hold up a little better in the wind than the 12x12. And, uhh, I've never had a problem getting mine up all by myself
  22. Hey Kevin, Plaster... YUK. You don't even want to think about what that will look like if you did take all the paper off. This was kinda my "kuleana" before I retired from it, so here goes. Alamo Shooter nailed it (as usual). One very important thing to remember. Any water or water based product that does penetrate the sizing will melt the glue and cause paper to wrinkle (release). That alone would make it worth it to me to seal the entire surface with an oil based sealer/primer (such as Kilz, Cover Stain, etc.) Solvent based materials are harder to work with and you'll need proper ventilation, but once the sealer is applied you can prep and paint the walls with any water based product without worry. Here is how I would proceed. Get walls as smooth as possible without disturbing what's under sizing. Seal/Prime surface with oil based sealer. Make smooth as necessary with drywall compound and sand. Prime and paint with water based products. Good luck and feel free to PM me with any questions. BTW, when you gonna come shoot with us again? spelling
  23. Thanks everyone for the replies. Boz... exactly! rgkeller... been doing the rubberband thing CocoBolo... mine never lost its brightness, it either has a dot or don't. Good luck with yours. vernonsmith... that's exactly what mine does. I can move the battery and watch the dot go on and off. I would think its either the contacts aren't making a good connection or the soldered connection is loose? I haven't figured out why they changed the click switch but they know better than me. So I just ordered another one from Chuck after trying to use this one at todays match. Everyone had some good laughs anyway . I'm really looking forward to going back to Limited for a week or two.
  24. How long have you had it?? Might need a new dot module or just new electronics. Can't really go wrong with a C-more. If its past warranty they will replace the electronics for about $65. Quite a few threads in here about Cmore. Call them up and see what they say. They have great customer service. Flyin Thanks Flyin, I've only had it for a couple of years and I've been cussing it for one. I have no doubt that C-More will fix it eventually. Not really concerned with whether its under warrenty or not, just want it fixed. Think I'll go ahead and put a new one on the gun and send this one back again.
