  1. Maybe a similar problem as here; http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70744
  2. Here's an easy one I keep thinkin' 'bout the night in Memphis Lord, I thought I was in Heaven I keep thinkin' 'bout the night in Memphis I thought I was in Heaven But I was stumblin' thru the parking lot Of an invisible Seven Eleven
  3. Lynyrd Skynyrd_Gimme Back My Boolits ...one of my all time favorites
  4. Hey, I think this guy showed up for our match a couple of times
  5. Thanks everyone, for the words of encouragement The 4th day was the hump-day for me. After that, there hasn't been a hard day
  6. Told myself I wasn't going to post this but then I thought it might give someone else an initiative to quit. Its been 1 month today since my last cigarette and I'm over it. Not saying I wouldn't like to have one, but the will to be a non-smoker for the rest of my life is greater than the will to have one. For me, there is no such thing as "just one more". It would be the bullet that killed me. Anyway, its just a personal accomplishment, a giant monkey off my back. ......and I've gained 12lbs. hungry all the time
  7. My C-More recently has a mind of its own. I switched from an 8moa to a 6moa dot and it started eating batteries. So I thought. 3 batteries in 3 weeks. I'm positive I didn't leave it on. So last week during a match, on make ready, I turn on the click switch and take a sight picture, load and holster. When I engage 1st target there is no dot. I hit the side gun and the dot comes on. I fire and the dot goes out. I fire again with no dot and it comes back on. I only saw my dot on about half the targets of that stage. Of course it was a classifier I'm guessing the batteries were fine. Seems to be a short or bad connection somewhere. I tapped on the C-More a few times and turned it on and off and it worked for the rest of the match. I've checked it everyday since and it is working. Anyone else had this happen?
  8. I would like to put a nomination in for bkeeler. I don't know him but in his humble way and without fanfare, he offers great advice and helps out other shooters daily in the "Shooting Forums" and the "Handgun & Technique Forums". Come to think of it, I don't recall him ever posting in a non-shooting forum.
  9. Just a heads up. When ProGrip is not available, PrinceGrip seems to be the same stuff and is found in the tennis dept of most sporting good stores.
  10. Very, very, well said. And you kept it polite, ....and I'll stop there because I can't speak my thoughts as eloquently as you have. I like my Beretta
  11. Great advice so far. All I could possibly add is get a kydex or aluminum holster and get rid of the speed leather Be safe and have fun
  12. This is the exact problem I was having and the same solution. Same left eye infinity, right eye focus at front sight, and I do have the rudy rydon red's I have been using this for a couple of years now but my right eye has gotten worse to the point that I now am shooting open most of the time (both eyes focused at infinity), But then need reading glasses if I take apart my gun at the range. Been paying close attention to the eye surgery threads... saving money Glad you can see the front sight again . I hope it works well for you.
  13. I'm certainly not qualified to instruct but will be glad to share what worked for me. I started with 140's and Dawson pads so I was already used to them. I watched Travis T's youtube vid over and over. I broke it down to each frame and movement. I then attempted to copy every move exactly as Travis did. I broke the entire reload down into 3 or 4 sections and practiced each section until it was smooth and memorized. Then put all the sections together and practiced until it was smooth and memorized. When it was smooth and consistant, it was fast. Oh yeah, after a few times of smashing my finger, it learned to stay out of the way. I am faster if I'm looking the mag in. But I seldom do. I also used to practice reloads in the dark so I wouldn't have to look and could be focused on where I'm going or my next target. Whatever works for you but I've found that my reloads are more consistant right in front of my face also. And when I got really good at it...I stopped practicing
  14. Much better, thanks Brian ...just have to wait for the cached page to fade away.
  15. When I type my real name into Google my profile comes up page #1 and 5th or 6th down. I discovered this a few months ago when someone from my past found me (no, I wasn't lost) and joined this forum just so they could PM me. Not a big deal this time but when I think about all the personal info that is right there for anyone to see, name, b-day, addresses. That's just a little more than I care to display to the world. I've never been hit with identity theft yet but it does concern me. So my profile page on google is cached (it's a photo of my profile page taken on May 10, 2009). I don't know if or when it ever goes away. For now I have removed my name and info from my profile until I can think about this some more. This is from google; Google takes a snapshot of each page examined as it crawls the web and caches these as a back-up in case the original page is unavailable. If you click on the "Cached" link, you will see the web page as it looked when we indexed it. The cached content is the content Google uses to judge whether this page is a relevant match for your query. When the cached page is displayed, it will have a header at the top which serves as a reminder that this is not necessarily the most recent version of the page. Terms that match your query are highlighted on the cached version to make it easier for you to see why your page is relevant. The "Cached" link will be missing for sites that have not been indexed, as well as for sites whose owners have requested we not cache their content.
  16. Exactly!!! Have been a small business owner/contractor most of my life and have always returned calls. Most of my business is word of mouth and if someone is going to take time out of their day to call me, I'm damn sure gonna call them back. No matter how tired, busy, whatever, even if it's just to say no thank you. So it's a major pet peeve with me as well.
  17. Not to mention what your homeowners insurance co. would think about it. Store mine in a non working refrigerator, somewhere
  18. A lot of folks can't seem to get a grasp on that "quote" feature, either. And a lot of people quote when they don't have to, thus eating up bandwidth unnecessarily. OK, now you guys are talking about me again. So where's the instructions?
  19. I would try calling Millenium Custom edited to add; HERE YA GO
  20. I would have no problem with slippahs or barefeet. And no rules against it but when I look at the bottom of my cleats they have copper jackets, etc., from splatter embedded in them.
  21. If it's a stock Edge it probably has a heavy recoilmaster in it. you can switch to a standard guide rod with some minor fitting and a 14 lb. spring. But agreed, if it's running good, maybe best leave it edited to add; are you running factory ammo?
