I bought the ammo last year maybe 1.5 years ago. I talked to PMC and the guy who has to handle this was out of the country until may 31. I still have not heard from him. and i have heard nothing new from STI
talked to pmc the other day they will swap out the remainder of the ammo I have left 500rds. And they told me to send them a quote from my gunsmith to repair the gun.
That's unusual that they didn't want a contact name at STI. I've had this happen to two customers with Wolf ammo and a Glock and Federal ammo and a Glock. In the case of the Wolf ammo it was a squib round stuck in the barrel and then the next round fired into that. I sent the guns to Glock and they waited on word from the ammo manufacturers. In both cases I sent a copy of the original receipt along with the reminder of the 50 round box that the hot/squib rounds came from. In both cases they paid for the guns to be repaired at and by the manufacturer.
I would not have a third party gunsmith, qualified or otherwise, repair a gun damaged in this manner. What about the factory warranty or factory specs? I would insist that PMC pay to have it repaired at STI. Nobody at STI will work with you on this?
In my examples, Glock replaced the entire slide and barrels in both guns. No questions asked.
Pmc gave me 2 options have a gunsmith make a quote for them.
or send the gun to PMC and they would put together a quote on repair.
I have to call STI because they still have my gun
