  1. Maybe we all figured intuitiveness would kick in. See the "Help" button in the upper right hand corner, it has fancy information about topics: At the top of each topic, there is a 'Options' menu. Clicking this menu will expand the options menu. From this menu, you can select from the following options: Track this topic - this option will allow you to receive e-mail updates for the topic, see the 'Email Notification of new messages' help file for more information on this Email this topic - from here you can email a link of this topic to someone by entering their name, email, and desired language. Print this topic - this will present the current topic you are viewing a printer friendly format, removing most images and using a standard layout. Download this topic - will show the topic in a number of different formats. 'Printer Friendly Version' will display a version of the topic that is suitable for printing out. 'Download HTML Version' will download a copy of the topic to your hard drive, and this can then be viewed in a web browser, without having to visit the board. 'Download Microsoft Word Version' will allow you to download the file to your hard drive and open it up in the popular word processing application, Microsoft Word, for viewing offline. Subscribe to this forum - will allow you to receive e-mail updates for any new topics posted in the forum, see the Notification of new messages' help file for more information on this You can also select one of three topic display modes: Outline - shows you one post with a list of the remaining posts at the below it, in tree format. 2. +1 Gary is right. Oh, and JESTER 421, just stop now. Stop using phrases like "tactically sound" to try to explain why you should not have gotten a procedural. The game isn't played that way. +1 to what Gary and Steve said... It could be worse you could have to shoot this:
  3. Plenty of crimp will accomplish that goal at any reasonable OAL. A Taper Crimp works the best...also testing the bullets with a case gauge is a benefit.
  4. Mass is the key... the heavier the bench the more stable it will be when reloading.
  5. Well there are a few advantages with a ball detent: 1. Reduction of friction on the front of the ejector rod as the cylinder turns. 2. Ability to switch out barrels to a PPC style barrel 3. Accurate lock up this helps in tuning other areas of the gun.
  6. ...and the rest of the Enosverse is now online with B&N to get their copies!! The Hagakure is public domain, as is The Art of War. You can actually download a copy for free. See the earlier post.
  7. The only exception is the Revolver rule where you can load 6, 7, or 8, but you may only shoot 6 before reloading.
  8. If you have to ask.....get the car fixed. Otherwise buy a gun ... Modernized Samurai rule #234: In the choice between guns and gold buy they guns, you can always get gold using your gun.
  9. I have a few words for the privacy manager... "worthless waste of $5". Better solution: http://www.donotcall.gov Blocked numbers are about to become a thing of the past. As of this year they will be illegal for businesses to have.
  10. My favorite saying to the Parents of unruley pissants is: "Get a rope on it...and hang it high"
  11. And the Dante's Test only sent you to PURGATORY?????!!!! Man, you LIED somewhere in there!! Well I did pay a cash pennance to the Catholic church before I took the test.... :)
  12. Along these lines and it probably is a whole other hate topic: I have seen several dept stores, restaraunts, etc. with a prominent parking spot (within 10 spaces of the front doors) marked "employee of the month parking only". Well I say the heck with the employee of the month, I am the "customer of the day". What a steaming pile the whole concept of the employee of the month is anyhow. It is just a warm fuzzie title for the wimp-ass winers that can not work a full 8 hours without clockwatching. Then in some great act of reverance to this employee they give them the best parking. I remember working retail at one time and if you parked within 500' of the door you were sent packin. Of course this was back about 15 years when people still had some common sense. Well enough ranting for today

  14. Guessing it is a symbol found in this book:http://www.thejapanpage.com/html/book_dire...ailed/537.shtml Further research shows it is a symbol from the dust jacket of the VHS tape/DVD Ghost Dog. See: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00005QC...01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg and http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0000...9Q9.03.LZZZZZZZ Additionally it is the tattoo on Ghost Dogs arm See:http://www.allposters.com/gallery.asp?aid=...634&cat=1011982 Digging Further: Even Deeper: Really Really Deep:
  15. TKD is Korean, that is correct, however you can still fly a Korean flag on a Japanese made flagpole... I am getting to Zen...must be the Jack Daniels.
  16. AMS is a hybrid, it is similar to Jute Kune Do, there is no pattern or set way, it is a combination of all patterns. This is the reason Bruce Lee could actually kick someones butt. When he developed JKD he had a standing offer to beat all challengers. His creative thinking (thinking outside the norms) allowed him to utilize known standard methods of doing things in a different way that fit him best. Just as you change the grips on your gun [the gun being the known standard] to customized grips [the new twist on a known standard] that fit you, you create a new gun that works better for you than any other person. Proffessionally Cut and Pasted by Govt Agents: Jeet Kune Do--the literal translation is "way of the intercepting fist"--was conceived by Bruce Lee in 1967. Unlike many other martial arts, there are neither a series of rules nor classification of techniques which constitutes a distinct Jeet Kune Do (JKD) method of fighting. JKD is unbound; JKD is freedom. It possesses everything, yet in itself is possessed by nothing. Those who understand JKD are primarily interested in its powers of liberation when JKD is used as a mirror for self-examination. Jeet Kune Do is not a new style of kung-fu or karate. Bruce Lee did not invent a new art composite style, nor did he modify a style to set it apart from any existing method. His concept was to free his followers from clinging to any style, pattern, or mold.
  17. The test that is more fun on the same site: The Dante's Inferno Test has sent you to Purgatory! Here is how you matched up against all the levels: Level | Score Purgatory | Very High Level 1 - Limbo | Moderate Level 2 | Moderate Level 3 | Moderate Level 4 | Very Low Level 5 | High Level 6 - The City of Dis | Very Low Level 7 | Moderate Level 8- the Malebolge | Low Level 9 - Cocytus | Low Level descriptions: http://www.4degreez.com/misc/dante-inferno...nformation.html Take the test: http://www.4degreez.com/misc/dante-inferno-test.mv
  18. Along these lines...have requested that my wife shoot me if I ever suggest that junior helps me pick out a car/truck/minivan.
  19. Pouring on the gasoline.... The best part is when the [Pick favorite noun] (ankle biter, urchin, rug rat, piss ant) is screaming at the top of his/her/its lungs. ...lighting the match
  20. Professionally Cut and Pasted by Govt Agents: The AMS Symbol represents the inherent qualities of the Moo Duk Kwan System. The circle with the three cranes symbolize the three major areas of training: Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, and Japanese Swordsmanship. Each of these areas also have three divisions. Tae Kwon Do can be broken up into art, sport, and self defence, Aikido into empty-hand techniques, staff techniques, and sword techniques, while swordsmanship consists of Iaido (kata), Kenjutsu (combative partner exercises / bokken), and Kendo (sport fencing - Shinai). The three cranes are physically bound by an overriding philosophy that all facets of training, like all facets of the universe, are interrelated. The circle represents this unity. The design is that of a tsuba (hilt guard) which is the defensive component of the Japanese sword. It symbolizes readiness but reluctance to engage in combat / conflict. The circle also represents the never ending path of growth and learning. The student becomes a teacher, but also becomes a student again on a different level, hence the repeating spiral of student - teacher - student. The three major qualities of a martial artist should be responsibility, sincerity, and justice. One should always maintain a beginners mind with a willingness to always learn, realizing the more you learn, the less you know.
  21. I have a similar setup on my 686. I just had it moonclipped for 357/38SP. It works great and only cost about $70 to get done.
  22. I usually toss the moonclips I step on in the practice pile. There is nothing like doing a reload in a match with a damaged moonclip. Only to find it will not load.
  23. You might want to consider what you are using it for. For instance if you are buying it to shoot IDPA get the 4" (see rule book for IDPA), if you are shooting IPSC go with the 5".
  24. If you really want to be safe you could do the OSHA medical monitoring. You go get a $250 physical every 1-2 years. The physical includes bloodwork for known pathogens, hearing and eye test, chest xray, spirometry(this test blows), reflexes, etc. You get a handy report aftwards that explains all of your blood levels, lung capacity, and general health. When you retake a physical in a year or so you get a chart comparinge the orignal physical to the current one. It costs a bit but is worth it. You can tell fairly quickly if you are doing something derogitory to your health.
  25. The only problems with revo reloading is if you over-rotate the gun durring a reload. You should practice to eliminate this. The other issue is: If something goes wrong in the reload people tend to lean over the revo to look down at it causing a sweeping issue.
