  1. Good info on primer cup thickness: http://www.jamescalhoon.com/primers_and_pressure.html
  2. The Miculek records do not count the draw time. They were from the ready position. Buzz to last shot.
  3. My SS revo gets the brown haze on it all the time at the front of the cylinder and the nose of the barrel. I just let it there and tell people I had the gun finished that way. It really torks some people who know better.
  4. Here is a good picture for reference:
  5. OOOOOOoooo I miss South Carolina radio.... John Boy and Billy...
  6. It should probably be a required field trip for 12 year olds...of course I always thought Marlin Perkin's Wild Kingdom should be shown daily to 2nd and 3rd graders to teach them it is a dog eat dog world out there.
  7. I have had pretty good luck with Kead bullets on top of tite group. They do not seem to lead the barrel or the forcing cone at all. Keads are used a lot by the Cowboy Action folks, although they seem quite hard.
  8. I am busy inventing a new feature for computers. It is a electro shock therapy device that goes off everytime someone clicks the "Send this to My Entire Email Address Book" button on AOL. It only shocks them till they piss themselves, but hopefully this will be enough to deter these actions in the future.

  10. There is some good info at: http://www.dada.it/eyeweb/eotto.htm
  11. If it is straight percentage I must have some erronious data from other sources. I will work some more on it and come up with better data.
  12. Another danger would be stepping a couple of steps up onto a 3:1 slope. If your berms are clay, like most of the ones in TX, you are liable to end up on your backside if it is wet.
  13. I would think this would be the same as topping off your clips for a handgun which is allowed under USPSA rules. I do not know if after you rack a long gun it is legal to load the side saddles.
  14. That would be cool. I look forward to seeing the photos.
  15. You need to analyze your shooting issues one step at a time. Your vision may be an issue but if you can focus on the target and focus on the sites you should be ok to hit the target. You most likely have not shot enough to develop a consistant grip and stance, which could lead to a multitude of problems hitting targets at longer ranges.
  16. I have been looking at some of my HF vs percents. It seems to be pretty easy to find out the HHF with a bit of quick math. However I noticed when I took some other club scores in the same division from various classifiers the HHF was different depending upon the shooter etc. Is the HHF based on a sliding scale, i.e. logarithmic? I just assumed it was based on simple linear formulas. Any Ideas?
  17. Here is a good link http://www.phys.virginia.edu/classes/252/e...rgy_p_reln.html Just rember the weight is different than mass.
  18. This sounds quite interesting do you have any formulas for Hardness vs Velocity for leading minimization?
  19. This all sounds interesting, do you have any sketches or pictures you could post?
  20. My vote is for sell it and buy a new 625. The 625 is very finiky for head space etc. making a 625 from a 629 would be a huge challenge
  21. Where do you get you brass for reloads? Do you find it on the range or buy it new.
  22. I usually try to find a shoot over advantage. However most of the stages at the club I shoot at declare the barricades etc to extend up to infinity, so you do not shoot over them.
  23. Slow Heavy.... Big Mass transfers big energy.
