  1. I will admit a 19/2011 trigger is or can be SO MUCH BETTER than a Glock ever will be. I always go back to this advice. Learn to play this game with a revolver and then a Glock trigger feels like you have died and gone to Heaven. Yes I spent a year playing this with a revovler, made B in 10 months. I have been shooting a Glock for about 6 months now. I would love to have a STI but right now I can't justify it for me. I have my main limited gun a G24 and a back up or production G35 for less than $1000 but bought used. For the other $2000 I can have a bunch of ammo. That said if you can't make a Glock work for you all the ammo in the world won't make it. If you can afford an STI and want it go for it. Either gun will give you a gun you can win any match in the world with if you can shoot it.
  2. Thanks I have been planning on giving one a try anyway. So far everything I have used form LWD has worked great.
  3. I have used the 13# IMSI in my 24 and my 35 without a problem. Now I am running 12# Wolffs. No problemswith either coming out of battery.

    Sights?

I love the Dawson F/O with the plain Heinie rear. I got the narrow .105 one. I could stand for it to be a little thinner but it is fine the way it is. The good thing about the Dawson, they give you a tool AND some extra fiber optic to go with it. Thats the way things should be offered.

    Sights?

THE FIRST THING TO DO WITH A GLOCK IS REPLACE THE SIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You would be better off without sights than trying to use the factory sights. Heinie, Dawson, Sevigny/Warren, Bomar. There is no shortage of options for Glock sights. I have Heinie on both of my match Glocks, on one I changed the front blade to a Dawson FO yesterday so I am interested to see how it does today.
  6. One option may be to get some moon clips made that hold the Russian brass tighter. I am sure Hearthco could do that.
  7. This is the kind of thing where it bothers me about my job. I am a machinist at a large company I run CNC machines everyday but I can't do any work. I can't think about taking guns or gun parts on the property. I have a small lathe at home but it is to small to do much. My home shop is small and is only wired for 110 so I have had to pass up many good deals on machines. Maybe a good thing that I can't do stuff or I would go broke building guns.
  8. Well Robbie can load a single stack better than most folks can load a double stack. But the gun he used at Lim 10 would no tbe legal at Single Stack Classic/Nationals. The long barrel is not legal for single stack. IRCC.
  9. Here is my story that has repeated itself a few times. 2 sets of stacked targets, smoke the first 2 targets index to the next set smoke the first one have a perfect sight picture for the next one but no ammo to shoot it with. I have done that a few times.
  10. A very cool looking long slide single stack. And it was the Lim 10 Nats.
  11. I printed some on tan paper and have them hung up in my shop. I need to make more. They work great.
  12. Very cool. Very interesting about how the parts dropped in. I have been thinking about doing something like this myself, not in a day but building an STI. That these parts can be had that basically drop in is a great thing. I like the unported sight tracker. I think it is a good idea. I will be intersted to see how it runs.
  13. I have to make a correction for my predictions. Jessie Abbate wins ladies production.
  14. There is no fitting, you take the old one out and put the new one in.
  15. Jaxshooter, I'll be at the Holiday Inn Express, coming in Friday. I plan on finding a place to get some Mexicangrub and have a few beers Friday night, maybe we can meet up.
  16. I am going to be there but shooting limited.
  17. Now that is just TOO organized. Honestly that looks like a good idea. Shame I don't eat pretzels.
  18. Well the only one I can name and I hope I am correct is Mr Griggs which is the second from the left. Also known as lefty45
  19. Congratulations! I shot this live for the first time in a long time today practicing. I have been dry firing it a lot. Today limited my best run was down 2 points 4.72. I sure as hell ain't a GM but it sure feels good to even make a GM run. I had several runs under 5, this one was as perfect as I could run it though. I saw the sights every shot, and nailed the reload. My reaction time period is slow, something I am working on but not making much progress. And my splits were all over the place from .14 to .21.
  20. Limited Robbie Dave I think he is shooting limited Travis Mannie Max Production Angus Matt Bill Munier Robbie Johnson Revolver Jerry Mike Carmoney Cliff Walsh High Ladies Limited Jessie Abbott! Production Julie Goloski The rest got no idea

  22. Congratulations Micheal, glad everybody is doing well.
  23. Remove the slide. Take a small flat screw driver looking down into the magwell from the top. You will see the mag release and the spring coming up from the bottom. Slip the screw driver under the spring push it to the right side of the gun. There is a slot in the bottom of the mag release when the spring gets there it should pop right out. Then slide the old release out. To install the new one you will have to hold the spring up out of the way so the new release will go under it. When you get it in place take the screw driver and push the spring back over to the slot when it get there it will pop right into place. Clear as mud right. It really very easy, you will see when you try it. Maybe someone else can clear it up for you.
