    Marine Cups

Are these the marine cups or the non marine cups?
  4. Thanks guys. Here is what happened. I had no idea how high the tallest one was. The .194, I had seen them but didn't know how tall it was. So I looked in Brownells and ordered the highest one they listed the .160. Well it was not what I was looking for. It was much taller than what was on my 625-3 though. I put it in today, just the blade. I will see if that works if not I will get the taller one. Anyways thanks for the info.
  5. No wonder I couldn't find it at Brownells. :-) Thanks. Now how much trouble is it to swap it out and do you HAVE to have the tools to do it?
  6. Do any of you guys have the factory Smith number or a Brownells number for the Super extra tall rear sight assembly for a 625-3? The older square front sight. Do they even sell the full assembly or would I have to buy the rear blade and swap it out.
  7. The problem is the groove OD on GAP brass is smaller than ACP brass and GAP does not stay in the moon clips very well. Fine for plinking at the range no good when you are tossing the moon clips into the gun from 6" away in a match. They will fall out. The one Hearthco is making hold the GAP brass pretty snug.
  8. Lotsa crank. Oh wait this is about computers. Really if there is anything on it that you don't want others to see, DESTROY THE HARD DRIVE!!!!!!!!!! Take it out of the computer, rip it apart burn the dick scatter the ashes. and cover up with dirt. Soak it in acid do someting but make sure there is no 2 pieces of it can be found.
  9. Man...Bil how far away was the SC Sectional? How about Tulsa? If all of the matches were 20 miles out, I don't think any of us would miss a match! Until we ran out of money for ammo and entry fee's.
  10. Dang I wish I could swing it myself. I am watching it
  11. I really don't meet your requirement of using more than one type of barrel but here is experience. I have 2 LW barrels, for my 24, a 40 and a 9mm conversion and I love them. I shoot a lot of lead bullets so that was my reason for trying the 40 barrel. I have about 3000 rounds through it without a problem. It is as accurate probably more accurate than the factory barrel. I don't clean my guns, and I have not had any problems with leading or loss of accuracy. For the money $99 I can't see any reason for using another more expensive barrel. I have shot plated, jacketed and plain lead bullets through it without any problems. As for how long it will last, I can't say, like I said I have about 3000 rounds through it in about 4 months. From the time I hung up the phone until I had it in my hands, about 4 days. This barrel is in my main limited gun, my G24 and I trust it to run everytime. I will buy another to go into my 35 I just picked up. The 9mm barrel was just to try for fun so I don't have many rounds through it at all maybe 500 or so. It is a blast and I have shot jacketed, plated and cheap lead bullets though it with out any problems. In my 24 with a tungston guide rod and 15 pound wolff spring with 147gr minor loads it has NO recoil. A friend is trying it right now for steel challenge and may use it at the World Shoot next month. All of that said, I have shot plated bullets through my factory Glock barrels without problems. I have seen them give problems if you crimp them to much and cut through the plating. That sounds like what you may have done. I don't know and I am not saying that is what you have done but it would be something to check. This is my opinion which is worth what you paid for it. I hope this has been some help.

    627 in 9mm

I would love to have one. I have never shot icore but I think this would be a peach for it. But production USPSA and steel challenge this would be grand. 147gr minor loads in a big n frame would be sweet.
  13. Happy birthday to you guys. Mark, I am going to have to get better, I can't let an old guy like you kick my butt so much. Just kidding my friend. You have a great day.

    Reapplying TruGrip

Well I am going to give Trugrip a try. I am not happy with what I have been using. And seeing the way you stood behind your product here I think I will give it a try.
  15. Cheesey! I have seen this happen once and the person lost some respect to me.
  16. Talk to Danny and see what he has to say. I shoot AAA if I am not shooting my loads though I have never used 38 Super. Like the others have said the AMU uses his ammo as well as team Glock and many others.
  17. I know that I have done so well with auto loaders because my first year of IPSC shooting was spent with a revolver, I know that. I think everyone should spend some serious time learning to shoot a revolver well. I will get back to them, I wil just spend some time on the practice range getting better at some thing and play with the bottom feeders for a while.
  18. It started just before area 6 and my poor performance there didn't help. I was getting a little burned out on revolvers before area 6 and planned a revolver vacation to try lim/lim 10. I really made the transition pretty easy and have shot very well. Right now I am more confident with that than I ever have been with revolvers. This has not helped me get back to revolvers. I shot it Tuesday night and did ok one stage and crashed badly on the other. A mental error which was really funny but then some poor weak hand shooting and it really sucked. I love shooting revolvers but right now it is not fun.
  19. Most righthanders use their right hand to load revolvers.
  20. How about a Glock 24? They are incredibly easy to shoot and well under you $2000 price limit. With a good set of mags, sights, guide rod and spring, magwell, and drop in trigger gar you are less than $1000. You can spend the other grand on ammo.
  21. Hey go from revolver to limited, you will do this a lot. I went from revolver to limited 10 without much problem but going up to limited I have done this more times than I care to think about.
  22. Yeah! I don't know about Carmoney but Cliff drinks that wimpy light beer.
  23. Happy Birthday guys. Lee let someone else drive tonight.
