  1. You are most likely talking about the Tec Loader, check Youtube.com for videos
  2. Not much bothers me but I agree about Benny's avatar, creeps me out too !!!
  3. Harbor Freight has only 3/4" dia brass punches and up, no small stuff you can screw up and return under warranty. Dillon has a nice set and Cheaper than dirt had some. Also saw a $8? set on Ebay.
  4. Wow, great diagnosis from afar. I could not imagine what would be the problem.
  5. I too was looking forward to an answer. I'll bet one of the many shotgun forums or a Google search will find the info you need. best of luck
  6. No one mentioned what I think is Very Important. Semi auto shotguns are Very picky about what cycles the action properly, just like pistols. Before I bought anything I would check to see what is the minimum load it will cycle properly - website or call manufacturer. Some work well with low brass target loads, some, like the M2 Benelli, need a minimum of 1 oz shot; others, the Winchester Super X2 for example, barely operate with 1 1/8 oz & 3 drams of powder. There is considerable difference in ammo price, availability, recoil and ability to get back on target fast. You are also going to want to be able and comfortable shooting 10 to 30 or so of these loads in a row on a stage. I would seriously consider looking online for a used shotgun. There are many nice, lightly used available at approx. 60% of the original price. I know a gunsmith who buys these, tweaks them for three gun and sells them as new, they are that nice. Check Enos Classifieds, USPSA website, Gun Broker, Guns America and ??? Best of luck and keep your powder dry, B.
  7. Shootersconnection.com is 209. + shipping, was 239. C-More Slide Ride / Railway Black STANDARD $209.00
  8. No Way on the sorting. Clean em, inspect for cracks, splits and load em back up.
  9. I ended up shimming the right side of the 650 3/16" to help keep the cartridge in the shellholder. This helps with the snap of the ring indexer moving the cartridge out of position. It actually has not solved the problem though, it's just better as some days it is still an issue. I did get a new assembly that helped much, not sure what you call it but the entire black part that pushes the cartridge into the shellplate and a new spring that is inside it. The old spring was very weak and I think that was a major problem. These machines are tempramental. I can change nothing and some days it runs like all is perfect and others gives me lots of problems. Some of it has to be how you work it, speed, pushing a little left or right on the operating arm without realizing it and ???????
  10. Thanks for the ideas guys. Already been to Dizzy World too many times. There are lots of great attractions in FL but PJ and I are really hankerin' to plug some O them ugly pigs for F & F [fun and freezer]. So we were thinkin on the way back to IL, even up the East coast somewhere, there may be a couple of pigs with our names on them. If anyone else has a suggestion we'd appreciate the info.
  11. I had the same problem. First I tried moving [setting] the sizing die as in the instructions. This had little to do with anything as there is far greater movement elsewhere affecting the cartridge. I had to keep tipping the top of the case into sizing the die 30 - 40% of the time [at about 2-3 o'clock from where you stand]. What a pain and S L O W. I noticed that if you slightly push the operating handle left or right as it strokes that that action puts the whole Platform in a different place relative to the dies. Check to see if you are doing this and making the problem worse. I found a couple of problems. First I marked the hole in the shellplate that gave me the most trouble. I found out that 75% of the time it was one particular hole that did not feed into the die. This meant that every fifth cartridge case, at least, needed a push. So I measured all the shellplate holes, checked for flat surface, etc. Nothing wrong that I can find but it's the same hole, mostly. I call Dillon and after checking a few other things, they say that once in a while the shell plate isn't machined properly. I send it back [yup they want it back] and the new one solves MOST of the problem. The other thing I found is that when the Ring Indexer returns as the ram raises, it snaps a little, even though I am not going particularly fast with the ram. When this happens it moves the sizing die cartridge out of the shellplate slightly, causing an occasional jam. This problem increases when I use new brass as I assume it is more slippery and since I shoot 38 super I use new brass occasionally. My bench is level but I haven't checked the shellplate. I was thinking that perhaps shimming the 650 up slightly on the right side may help this -- I hope.
  12. Great camera and art work. I could use a couple too.
  13. As all good stories start out, This is no sh#$. I used to work in a small office. Many of the men took their 'morning constitutional' in the small bathroom, so the air was usually very gross all morning. But, when you went in there you could always tell, over all the other mixed 'aromas', whether the janitor had been in there yet to clean. Yup, he was that bad - - it was enough to gag a maggot.
  14. Nice build. I've been really interested in the Grendel and one of the other later developed 6mm cartridges. They look to be perfect for a lot of different purposes, like hunting and also accurate. Thanks for the info
  15. I'd suggest shooting the iPhone closer to the center. That should fix any problem with it. There's always a smart a**, sorry it's me this time.
  16. G-Man Bart and Howard, I beg to differ with you guys. I always shoot open base FMJ in my open guns and there is a lot of lead in the comp[oxidized and not]. I wouldn't be surprised if less than half of it is in the comp and more than half leaves with the blast.
  17. Thanks Jim for your donation of Quinn mounts. Was nice to see you at Drazy Steel Shoot. Come on guys, this is a great training deal from some real good guys and top men in our sport PLUS you get to shoot the match with them [Max Michel and Travis Tomasie]. You can't do that everyday. We need a minimum of four more enrollees to pull this off and make it worth their while. Sign up info and details are at the first post in this thread
  18. Not me, I like the 25 yard zero as it's easy to zero at the range then for a 25 to 50 yd shot it's right on [or close enough]. You just have to remember you are 1 1/4 inches low at about 6 feet.
  19. It wouldn't let me edit above paragraph so I had to do it like this.
  20. I'm confused. There are 12 stages in pdf above and you state: "I thought I posted this but I can't find it, we are going to use the "current" 8 and 4 that Jeff Matche sent me. They are OOPS, Club, Texas Tree, and Triad. " So are the "current eight" really the 12 pdfs above plus the four listed starting with OOPS?????????????
