  1. Allowing an 8-shot in revo with ONLY the penalty of having to shoot minor is not a sufficient handicap. That makes about as much sense as wiping before pooping. If the "ONLY" penalty to an 8-shooter is minor scoring isn't sufficient, then please explain to me why SS Div. allows eight rounds for major and 10 rounds for minor?? I guess that isn't sufficient either?
  2. Looking for any USPSA/IDPA matches in and around the Panama City, Florida area between the dates of March 8 through March 14. I'll be honeymooning in Panama City that week and have gotten permission from the "Almighty" to seek out a match if I can (any question why I'm marrying her?!?! ).
  3. I just bought one of these and LOVE it!! Bob is very helpful and even offered to let me have a test run before buying to see which version suited me best.
  4. Doubled my post somehow?? So I erased the duplicate and added this.
  5. I've got one that should be here for my 625 in the next couple of days. I plan on running a 627 in it in Prod. once I get the gun. If it isn't legal, I guess you could always switch to the SRB attachment.
  6. Robert Mika!!! Nothing else is even close! Even if is product wasn't top notch, his service is galaxies ahead of any other business I've ever dealt with.
  7. 8-Shooters get no respect! I wish they'd change the ruling so they could be utilized with all 8 cylinders and be scored as minor in Revo division!! Until that happens, I'm gonna buy a 627 and shoot it in Prod. and ICORE.
  8. Yeah, I remember that one. It was an SP101 six shot 9mm. I'd forgot about that one acutally. I doubt it had adj. sights though. I forgot to mention that is a requirement. I've located a 325 PD 2.5" gun for what seems to be and excellent price. Anybody shot one, and is it too light for this application, even with ammo loaded to a very low PF?? (I think it weighs in the neighborhood of 22 oz. unloaded)
  9. Three inches or less is the rule. That's a good one for sure, Mike! But a hair more than I wanna spend.
  10. I intend to do some snubbie shooting in ICORE this season and would like recommendations and to know what some of you guys use in Snubbie division. Also gonna have some 'compact' side matches at our local USPSA events and will be using it there too. Price is somewhat of a consideration (don't wanna spend a grand on one), but I'm willing to go $750-$800. Whatever I get I'll likely have milled for moonclips if gun isn't already as such. I've been looking hard at the Nightguard 310 shooting light .40. Have also considered at 2.5" 686. If there's something better to use than these guns, let me know.
  11. I can't believe that: A. This thing has two hours left and zero bids B. This is at least $100.00 cheaper than the next best price I've seen on one and I don't have the $$$ right now! I will in two weeks, but today I am screwed!!! Sometimes life aint fair!!
  12. Seems like the 4-post has the nod. I'll call Shooters Connection today and get me one!! Will probably use a CCW single holder behind the gun as I already have six of those. Thanks for all of the good advice!!
  13. I'm preparing to buy a North Mountain Moonclip holder, but can't decide if I want one four post model or four single post models? Appreciate feedback and pros/cons from current users. Thanks!
  14. 4.0 of Clays makes a 165.012 average PF from my 1911, but only a 157.something from my 625 PC (5.5 inch barrel). I'm going to try 4.2 and see if it'll make 165 in my Revo.
  15. I'm preparing to assemble an open .22 for use on steel. I plan to use a Tactical Solutions 6" upper with a C-more or OKO sight. Still trying to decide on a comp or not. A threaded barrel and comp will run about an extra $100, and not sure that I need it with a rimfire. Anyone who'd like to post a recommendation????
  16. A local club in my area will host 4 ICORE style matches this season. I'm also trying to garner interest in having some ICORE matches at my home gun club this year as well. I currently own a S&W 625 PC which I'll use in USPSA Revo division, and would really like to have a 627 Pro. The only thing that's held me back from buying a 627 has been lack of a reason to use it until now. I'd like to hear from experienced ICORE shooters with recommendations as to whether I should just stick with my 625, or would a 627 Pro be a better choice for ICORE? Or should I get a 627 PC 5" gun? I will be shooting iron sights on whatever I go with. No optics either way. Your input is appreciated.
  17. My prayers for your future family. It may be confusing now, but GOD knows what's best.
  18. How do I get signed up for this match?? It's not too far away and would be a nice change from the local matches around here.
  19. Revo didn't curb my yearn to shoot cowboy. I'm just going to shoot in the 'Wild Bunch' division and use a 1911!!!
  20. I recently purchased a 625 PC with a 5.5" barrel and need a holster for it. I want to use a pouch (belt) type holster made of kydex, but can't find one specifically to fit my 5.5" barrel. Seems all that are available are 5.0" or 6.0". Before you say that a 5.0" will work with a little overhang, or that a 6.0" will work regardless, understand that I'm anal and want something that'll fit the barrel exactly. Are there any manufacturers that will make one to my specifications?
  21. I'd like to express my appreciation for good folks like Merlin Orr. Merlin's inclusion of the link to the Special Olympics website and urging to drop the "r" word are what make this world a better place. Thanks Merlin! You're one of the good ones!!
  22. Merry Christmas from a recent wheel-gun convert!!
  23. I shoot whichever gun I happen to be carrying at the time. I participate (not compete) in IDPA shooting events so I'll be better prepared in the event that I ever have to defend myself. How many guys have you seen carry a G34 or a Hi-Cap STI on a daily basis?? I'm sure that there are some out there whom do. And if it works for them, then that's great. But most guys I know don't compete with what they carry. Hope they never have to find out at the most inopportune time that they shoulda been practicing with their carry gun. Or wished they'd been carrying their competition gun.
  24. I've had no problems or complaints with my "old style". I need a couple more currently. And at $45 a pop, I think I'll go ahead and stock up.
