I tried the CC and didn't find much advantage over the stock release. Then I tried the Hogue long latch, and it's unbelievalbe!! It makes all the difference in the world for me. Hogue makes a shorter version of the same item too.

Shooting and 8 round revo in Prod. or any USPSA division is great practice for ICORE! I'm becoming more enamored with ICORE and wheelguns than USPSA and bottom feeders so the more trigger time I get the better.

I didn't shoot the Memphis Charity match, nor have I shot a PPR. But boy, I sure am politicing hard for my club to buy one!!

My step-daughter was diagnosed at 7 years old. She'll be 16 next week. Main thing is to keep your diet regulated!! She doesn't, and has constant complications. The doctor finally told her after her last stint in the hostpital that if she wanted to live long enough to have children that she MUST start taking better care of herself through proper diet and exercise. Diabetes is a sh!++y disease to have, but not the end of the world. Being diagnosed as an adult and having the resolve to be disciplined is in your favor. I wish you luck and will keep you in my prayers.

Curiosity got the best of me. Had to try this with my 638. Went into the next room, turned out the lights, pulled the trigger, and a BIG spark about three feet long came out of the barrel. And it was accompanied by a very disturbing KA-BOOM. Are you supposed to unload the gun before trying this????

Anyone know if I can simply change the safety on a Ruger 10/22 to accomdate my left handed shooting style? I just want it the same way it comes, only accessable for easy left handed use.

If you already have a 10/22 just buy the nordic and use one of you rifles, that's what I did, I like mine very well. IAnd I believe nordic was contracted by Ruger to build the receiver for them ( I think ) I've considered just buying the Nordic chassis for one of my existing guns, but these things are listed on GB.com for an average of $450.00. By the time I'd by the receiver, buttstock, etc., I'm getting close to that price in just components. And I like the look of the Ruger in factory configuration. This gun will just be for fun. No need to do any training as there are no 3-gun events in my area. Just something that the kid and I can both plink with, and will fit us both with the push of a button.

So I want a .22 based on the AR platform for plinking and for my six year old son to be able to get started on (the collapsible stock will help him a bunch). I've considered the S&W and the Colt, but then I saw the new offering from Ruger and am quite impressed. I don't just want to buy and upper for use on one of my lowers, and I have several other 10/22's so mags are already readily available to me. Has anyone tried one yet?

I do it like Carmoney does it. I re-seat the primers on loaded ammo using a RCBS hand primer. This gives me a seated depth of 0.009" below flush. And yes, I wear safety glasses. And yes, I know this is not recommended or safe. But I'm not afraid. I live with fear every day. And sometimes she lets me go shooting!!

I'd like to echo all of the positive sentiments posted here about Bob! He has graciously taken my calls and answered many questions, sent me his products at no charge (shipping to me on his nickle) for a test run with the simple request to just return them if not satisfied, and has been just an all around great guy to deal with.

My boy (also 6) went back to school today for the first time in a week after recovering from swine flu. Between he and my step-daughter having swine flu, and some concerning Dr. reports for my wife, I've prayed more in the last week than I have in the last year! My prayers have been sent for Miss Mink and all others (especially the young-uns) whom have been stricken with this plague.

There was a significant deal on a 4" 625 on the USPSA Classified ads yesterday. Ad stated that gun had no more than 250 rounds fired, a North Mountain 4-post moonclip holder, and a handful of moonclips for $750.00 I don't need a 4", but for that price, I've thought about buying it anyway.

My sweet, beautiful wife (34) has received some very concerning test results. I won't go into significant detail, but they have discovered multiple colonic polyps and a 1.something centimeter "lesion" on her liver. She goes for another appointment next week for further follow up. She is having trouble holding meals down, and is rather depressed trying to subdue thoughts of "what if". She has daughter (9) and we have a son (6) whom she is scared to death may face growing up without a mother. I'm doing my best to put on a tough face and be strong for her in the mean time, but on the inside I'm about to melt down. I place my total trust and faith in GOD to see us through this ordeal and heal her. We would appreciate as many prayers as we can get. GOD bless everyone of you. Please never take a single moment with a loved one for granted.

Paul, I'm so glad to hear she is OK! GOD works many wonders. We are currently concerned for my wife as she has received some concerning medical reports in the last few days. Please say a prayer for her as well. I'll continue to remember your family in my prayers.

Per MSN news headline, actor Patrick Swayze passed away today at age 57. Though he made several "girlie" flicks, he also played some pretty kickass parts and seemed to be gun friendly. My prayers to his family in their time of loss. He suffered considerably. Though the loss is bitter, the knowledge that the suffering is over must help.

Sounds like she is the one whom now needs a play buddy. Very sorry to hear of your loss. I know how it feels for you now, and dread how it will feel for my family and I someday. I am a Christian and certainly believe in the glory of the HereAfter. But when it comes to situations such as these, I'm always reminded of a quote by Will Rogers: "If there are no dogs in Heaven, then I want to go where my dogs go". GOD promised that all good things will be in Heaven, so I feel pretty secure in knowing that my dogs will be counted among the loved ones that I will see again some grand day.

I think they weigh in the neighborhood of 34-35 oz. Though they will recoil more than a heavier all steel gun, a 120-ish PF .38 round still isn't going to generate that much more recoil. And the lighter weight would probably transition better than a heavier gun. I'm seriously considering trying one out next year. They are in fact factory cut for moons.

I really like 3.8 of Clays and the 185 Berry's in my 625 PC. Negligible recoil and very accurate.

If you want another polymer frame handgun, then sell the Glock certificate and buy M&P.

At 50 feet my 625 PC will group my load of a 185 Berry's HBRN and 3.8 gr. of Clays in one ragged hole. I struck on this load about one month ago, loaded up some test loads, found they were accurate, and loaded enough to get through a local ICORE match the next day. Since I knew there were no long shots on the course for that match (nothing over 20 yrds.) I didn't bother to test the load beyond the sight in distance. My schedule has prevented me from testing out to 50 yards, but up close it's a dandy load for me. And it honestly has less felt recoil than a 9mm to me.
