hondakilla98
Lookin great Mr. Bones! Here's the look if you ever decide to go with aluminum grips at some point. Very nice. Have you thought about a silver hammer or mag release to add to the two tone?

Have you thought about a silver hammer or mag release to add to the two tone? I'm seriously new at this game. My main preocupation has been with upgrading a Limited Pro. I don't have a new pic yet the here's a shot with the two guns together. The Limited Pro also has a Henning magwell in a higher polish "silver". Internally it has all Xtreme parts now too. I much prefer Henning's magwell over the stock. It enhances my grip in a huge way.

kneelingatlas
Atlas what are you loading with sp2 for super in the new Y-7 you built?Y7, I like that I haven't crono'ed any rounds through this gun yet, so I'm just guessing at this point, but Ten grains under a 115 sounds about right, maybe nine under a 124. Open1215
That's about what I'm thinking. I'm thinking 9-9.5-10-10.5 and chrono them. Go from there. I just don't want 25 diff loads to keep track of. Well if I did that would be one hell of a data post on here! Haha
RRredbones
Nice work Steve, instant Limited gun If you get tired of the little sights the Henning fixed rear is pretty great Thanks. Hennings sights are definitely on the list of upgrades im planning on.
BeerBaron
I apologize for my provincialism, but I thought Australia disarmed their citizens a few years ago. nah, well sort of. up till 1996 in many states you didn't need a licence for most guns and in some states even for full auto/select fire longarms. we then had a large shooting massacare (possibly still the largest single shooter massacre - I'm not sure) and the government used it to score points. they instituted a 'buyback' of semi-auto and full auto long arms. funnily enough there was something like 2.5mil long arms that should have been returned under the buy back but only around 1.7 were purchased. since many were not registered they have no idea where they went or who owns/owned them. So at that point in comes registration in all states and licencing. You can still own a semi auto long arm like an AR but it's very time consuming licence process and few people have them. same goes for semi and pump shotguns. bolt action and pump action rifles are easy enough to buy and own. same with shotguns. semi auto handguns are no problem. just need to get a licence and of course all guns must be registered. we have some 'interesting' rules around things like barrel length (we have a minimum length of 120mm for semi's and 100mm for revolvers). and a few other things. since the buybacks things have certainly changed and the majority of the general public are fairly anti gun. the good news is much like yourself the average australian doesn't realize you can legally own semi-auto handguns in this country so they are not too busy trying to do anything about it. we shoot IPSC, steel challenge etc. all the fun stuff. we do have 3 gun but it's much, much smaller. to make it accessible it's generally using pump rifles (7615 etc) and lever action shot guns with extended tubes. some guys will use a double barrel though! don't forget an aussie (Brodie McIntosh) came 3rd in open division at the recent worlds shoot in florida. Unlike sponsored shooters in the US who can shoot as a full time job he is still an amateur in that shooting is not his primary job. in some ways our handgun laws are less restrictive than some uS states are now. in other ways they are more so. we are just glad we can still own and compete with handguns. BeerBaron
Speaking of load development. What are you gold team guys loading. I will be using starline supercomp brass, CCI #400 SRP, and a 124g Xtreme hp. Powder options. Hs-6,Hs-7, 3n38, autocomp, acc #7 starting points or ball parks with any of them would be Awesome. I do have about 20-30 115s to try out as well. I'm running a V12 gold team. using: starline super brass federal SRP 124gn frontier RN CMJ 10.4gn of VV 3N38 makes near enough to 170pf. in a V6 I'd suggest 10gn of 3N38 would be a good start. maybe even start a bit lower. It's a nice load.

Open1215
Thank you beerbaron. What oal are you using? I think I will load 9-9.5-10-10.5 and chrono the loads as I go.
BeerBaron
sorry, forgot OAL... 1.255 I've run between 1.250 and 1.260. To be honest did not notice much difference between those OALs so just left it at 1.255 and called it a day. 3N38 is a great powder in these guns. it's fairly loud and pretty snappy in the hand but it really works the ports and the comp well. jmb: no problem. Open1215
Ok sounds great! I also got 2lb of hs-7 that I believe is a bit slower. Closer to n105. I'm excited to try it. I LOVED the 3n38 in my glock. It was so flat an not as snappy as the 800x or autocomp. With the v ports and a bit more room in a case (38SC over 9mm) I really think this will be a flat shooter! Plus being a bit heavier then the glock.

RRredbones
Got some aluminum grips and Henning sights put on the Hunter/Match combo along with the Henning guide rod and 10.75 lb recoil spring. Can't wait to give it a go at a match or two this weekend. Now just need to figure out a project for the Match frame.

BrazeauRacing
I finally got my new blaster done the way I wanted it. It's a Hunter frame with a Limited Pro .40 S&W slide. I added a Henning magwell and smooth grips covered in gray grip tape as well as some other Henning internal parts. I swapped out the hammer and all the controls for silver to give it a Limited Custom Xtreme appearance. Thanks goes out to JD Sales and Last Round Armament for helping me acquire all the parts to build this gun, and a big thanks to MOUNTAINWILLIAM for donating the Henning grips (they were covered in putty and had to be restored and cut down to fit the magwell). My three Italian Supermodels with all three uppers swapped around. Edited December 7, 2014 by BrazeauRacing
hercster
What can we say but WOW? There's something about these Italian pistols that drives us to the sensual and perhaps over the top sexuality. I just bought myself a Tanfoglio Team shirt that has more colour than the red light districts of Rome and the rest of the world. I almost bought a pair of Salomon Speed crosses in fluorescent green but they were out of stock and I settled for grey and black. I'll wear the shirt to a match tomorrow and hope it won't be classed as a safety hazard. Edited December 7, 2014 by hercster
Intercooler2
Wonder why we don't see any "decent" non-team Tanfoglio shirts out there?
