bkeeler
Well I went out and hit the range today... working on partial targets. Boy do I suck! I clipped no shoots left and right. Something that can always use practice I think. =) That's why it is called practice!
old506
Ben, are you doing anymore work with a conversion, or is it all centerfire?
Ben Stoeger
Ben, are you doing anymore work with a conversion, or is it all centerfire? Since picking up ammo sponsorship, I havent shot my 22 much. But now that I am working 65 hours a week, I am shooting the .22 occasionally just because I dont have time to load ammo. .22 does help ,and if you cant use centerfire for whatever reason then .22 is a good thing. Ben Stoeger
LE firearms training today. Different trainers than the ones I have had in the past. These guys started out by telling me that I needed to get a glock. I informed them that I liked my gun because it is “Pimp”.. It was all downhill from there. In other news, I am shooting locally this weekend. I need to keep my newfound speed and aggression level but clean up the little mistakes. We will see if I am able to deliver on match day. dsmw5142
Amusing isn't it? I know, and have experienced the types you're talking about. Like one training coordinator who works for my department and sits around smoking all day but makes a point of strapping on his cool-mo thigh holster and strutting around when an academy class is using our range . Oh well, It's probably better fuel for the old boys ego than Viagra. Edited June 23, 2010 by dsmw5142

Ben Stoeger
I was using mags that didn't fall free. I was also horribly misquoted. Otherwise, its all good. http://www.weau.com/home/headlines/96986094.html

Interesting, did none of the instructor's notice you from the show? or do you think that it was the reason why they were busting your balls about the 92? If I didn't have such a love hate realtionship with the 92, I'd be shooting it too more in competitions

Ben Stoeger
It has been a VERY busy July for me. I am still training, but my range being closed and working all the time has cut my live fire back a bit. I am not really so sure that’s a bad thing. More dry fire has been helping plenty. In terms of standardized skills tests like bill drills and el prezs, I am as strong as I have ever been. Right now my training is focused on getting me relaxed at the matches, we will see what happens next week.
