Neomet
Dirty Martinis are Ms. Neomet's favorite....... well after tequila. Her variation though is to just swish the vermouth in the glass. Edited February 12, 2008 by Neomet

markm
Crushed Ice, Grey Goose, take top off vermouth- pass by shaker, shake well pour in glass, two bleu cheese olives, REPEAT!
BigDave
Cold Smirnoff, a wisper of vermouth and a couple of garlic stuffed olives. That's #1 in my book. Seriously, the vodka is ice cold, your tongue is numb - I'm not paying the premium for for that top shelf stuff in a spirit that is, by law, supposed be tasteless anyway. I like them with the olives stuffed with blue cheese Now those things are great! But I (because of my girlfriend) just recently discovered them, so I haven't tried them in a martini, yet. be

austinkroe
And Sir Winston made his martinis as God intended - with gin. Here, here! If there is no gin then it is just a cocktail. I like how Jude Law used the Vermouth in the movie "Alfie". He never opened the bottle and just waved it over the shaker. I take mine with a twist.
