mscott
I was just wondering what is considered normal for USPSA matches. The last couple of shoots I've been to were about 100 rounds or so.
Vlad
I dont know if the two local matches I go to are "normal" but they are between 100 and 140 rounds for 5 to 7 stages.

Tom Mainus
We always run at least 6 stages, depending on time of year and range conditions, more stages in the summertime. Round count is usually at least 110 depending on what we set up.
ChuckS
The matches run from 5 to 7 stages at the 3 clubs I shoot at. Round count can run from 130-180 (more if there is a texas star ) later, Chuck

baa
I typically bring about 200 rounds to a 5-6 stage weekend match and usually return home with 50-70 rounds.
shred
A long while back we determined that around and a little over 100 rounds for a 4-5 stage match was optimum, especially for the shooters that don't reload-- they bring 4 boxes and leave with some ammo, or bring 3 and barely make it. Jody Waring
Typical match here is at least 150 rounds. A couple of clubs run from 175-200+, as they have big ranges with some permanent props, and several bays. That's alot of reloads for us 10 round only guys
Bigbadaboom
I always take 300 rounds. Reshoots, Buddies short on ammo, Buddies who forget ammo etc. etc..

Merlin Orr
Leon County Gun Club, Buffalo TX. Usually at our little club we run about 90-100 rounds matches. 2 long, a medium and a classifier. Sometimes we combine one long and the classifier (after we shoot it, modified a little) into a fifth stage for another field course which puts us well over 100 rounds total. Many times we set up the last stage with input from anyone who cares to put forth suggestions as to what and how to set it up. Seems to be pretty well recieved by the shooters. We generally start shooting at 10 and are torn down and gone well before 2 in the afternoon.
ima45dv8
Our local outdoor monthly matches (4) tend to average 6 stages each, with one club running 7 stages about 50% of the time. Round counts are ~150. Most have a good mix of shooting challenges including classifiers, Short, Medium and Long courses, and at one club in particular some sort of Standards course with longish (~35-40 yard) shots (I like this ).
