dapribek
Just wanted to post how happy I am with my two pistols. If anyone has any questions, just ask!
asierra350
Bull barrels or bushing?
dapribek
Both bushings, very accurate, here’s targets at 50 ft. First is the top gun, second is for my silver one.
Barcode1337
I agree. I finally got to run mine at a steel challenge match. Coming from janky open glocks, it's a beautiful gun.
dapribek
I agree!
troupe
Nice looking pistols. Are the frames and grips steel ? Thanks in advance.
beastmode_05
great looking guns! good to hear they are running great seems like to see the bull barrel guns are running good as well
dapribek
The frames are aluminum and I’ve covered them with a rubbery grip to make them a little more sticky.
sandflea316
Are the lead times accurate? Currently says 14-18 week lead time on their website
dapribek
No, I don’t think so, my second Platty came in 9 weeks. Even if it is accurate, it is so worth it! These pistols are as close as can be to the custom pistols I’ve owned in the past. The really fun part of it is designing something that is your very own. If you don’t want to wait, just check their in stock page daily. Those pistols are mainly all black (and are bought within hours) and can be at your FFL in 2 days. My buddy’s first was one he designed and his second was from their current stock. He loves both of them!
sandflea316
How's the trigger? Which option you go with on pull weight? Did you try to tune it any when you got yours. I prefer 1.25-1.75 lbs for my 2011 triggers
dapribek
Trigger is excellent. My first gun came in at 2 1/2 lbs. when I ordered my second one I asked for the same trigger weight and they delivered! I did not try to tune it ar all. If you want a lighter trigger, just tell them exactly what you want in the notes with your order. You won’t be disappointed. sandflea316
Pull the trigger on one this morning. Chose the bull barrel, prickly grips, sro footprint. Asked for a 1.5 lb trigger. Let's see if they can do it.
dapribek
Good luck, if they come through on your trigger weight, you won’t be disappointed!
RGC
Watching this one. Be curious if can come with a thumbrest option.
dapribek
No, I don’t see that happening. Guys are using after market ones with success.

Ajohnson15
Cerakoted aluminum frame that’s not anodized even? Sounds like a cool sub 10k gun before fatigue cracks start to propagate
bulldog009
Are you seeing any issues with the mags and the metal mag catch? Hearing some rumors that the mag catch is causing issues with the plastic Glock mags.
Dirty_J
Who’s making holsters for these? You’re running a light, which probably offers many existing options that index off the light. Who’s making a holster for a full length dust cover (no rail) and the square trigger guard profile?

Hearing some rumors that the mag catch is causing issues with the plastic Glock mags. It’s a $20 Glock tube. Replace annually, if they’re getting worn by the mag catch. We’re not talking about a $120 MBX mag…
MoNsTeR
Is the grip angle different? My eyes can't tell. I've been wondering this since I first saw these, and tried to wrap my brain around how a Glock mag would fit into a 1911-esque gun.

dapribek
Have no issues with the mag catch wearing causing issues with the mags. The two Platypus groups on Facebook have no posts regarding mag problems. Hope this helps. Grip angle is a 1911 grip angle.
