  1. I change springs once a year. Mags springs, recoil springs I use MBX ultra max spring and followers. TTI, MBX and Taylor Freelance extensions with the ultra max springs get me 24+1
  2. I just canceled my build. While i have bundles of glock mags, it doesn't make sense to have another LO gun in the stable (I have an SVI and Prodigy). Not a fan of aluminum frame 2011s. The cheap Turkish 2011s even come with steel frame. Plus if you do the math. Glock mags for competition will be used with extensions/spring and followers. So that drives up the price per mag. Oem glock mags: $25, Henning/TTI 140mm extensions: $35, MBX ultra max spring/followers: $20 Not that much less than Atlas mags.
  3. Prodigy with a MPA grip? Prodigy with a gen 1 poly grip?
  4. I just went to the website and placed my order. Used my credit card. Came a couple weeks later if not earlier than that. I've bought CZ and Tangfo parts overseas before. No issues except once when I ordered something from Eric Grauffel's shop and someone stole my info and bought plane tickets lol. Just watch your credit card for weird charges
  5. I have over 2k rounds in mine. No issues whatsoever. I use springer precision extended mags base. Ammo includes factory and reloads. No issues with JHP either. Highly impressed with this gun
  6. It can be done. Just have to find someone who can and is willing to do the job. Builders will pass because their work load is already stacked and taking a one off job may not be worth it. I have an SVI 5.4" irons gun that i wanted to convert to open major. A few builders including SV said it couldn't be done and to just sell it and have an open built. Some builders refused or didn't respond back. One company took it on. It was a bushing barrel gun with a full rail dust cover. Replaced the bushing/barrel with a comped bull barrel, drill and tapped for frame optics mount, mill slide for a racker.
  7. Hmm...yes we're running 124 gr jhp but with AA7. PF is 174 with the old comp. I could try lowering it a tad. Didn't feel bad to me
  8. It slightly longer than the oem comp. I could get tight groups on my doubles using my existing ammo. I would like try different loads just to see if I can maximize it. Overall I'm happy with it
  9. I did not have to remove any material off either. Initially it was tight but i just keep rotating the cone of the comp in slide. I want it to be tight as possible. No issues cycling the slide with the comp on. Lock up is tighter than the factory comp. Clocked properly without removing anything. Maybe i got lucky.
  10. Got mine. Had to recut the barrel threads. It was too shallow towards the chamber. I'll see if I can head to range tomorrow to zero and test
  11. That's sucks on the trigger. I don't consider a 3 lb trigger a competition trigger. Sub 2 lb trigger is what i prefer I too own some nice 2011s and this makes me worry. My Akai is 14 oz, SVI and Brazos are 1.5 lbs. Prodigy is 1.75 lbs Hopefully the ignition kit isn't proprietary. If it is I'll sell mine before i even shoot it lol
  12. What is considered a hotter primer? Currently using ginex spp. Wouldn't mind trying a hotter primer to see if it reduces the cornmeal.
  13. Someone ought to make a shielded ambi safety
  14. I use AA7 and get that yellow stuff in my gun. Not so much it causes jams. 9.8 gr of AA7 in 2 CZ Czechmates and an open 2011. PF is around 173
  15. Pull the trigger on one this morning. Chose the bull barrel, prickly grips, sro footprint. Asked for a 1.5 lb trigger. Let's see if they can do it.
  16. If it isn't cracked and the primer doesn't fall out than load it up
  17. How's the trigger? Which option you go with on pull weight? Did you try to tune it any when you got yours. I prefer 1.25-1.75 lbs for my 2011 triggers
  18. Are the lead times accurate? Currently says 14-18 week lead time on their website
  19. Also let me point out that there are cheaper options(i.e. the Turkish guns) available i don't think any of them have a plate system as good as the Springfield AOS. That alone is worth the extra cost.
  20. Legit pics from my Cerakoter This is closer to the color in person than my previous pics
  21. I looked at those. If one was heavily invested in glocks with a bunch of glocks mag, the Platypus is worth a look at. I have a whole bunch of 2011 mags and glocks mags. Only thing that kept me from it is the aluminum grip and lack of provision for a thumb rest. If I'm going with a metal grip I'd rather it be steel. I'll take a poly grip over aluminum. Plus is anyone using just stock mags or magpul 21 rd mags? If not a oem 17 rd mag, spring and follower, and extension is not really any cheaper than atlas 140mm mags
  22. The Cheely should fit without major mods. My LSI Outlaw grip was spec'ed to my SVI Infinity frame and i had to do some minor filing to fit
  23. No i used the titanium spring. No issues
