  1. See that’s more realistic. But a match and a half seems a bit short.
  2. Thanks bud. I’m gonna run the next match with the comp springs and see how long they last. The website says to check the spring after 1000 rounds so we’ll see
  3. We zero at 15 yds for uspsa. May experiment with 20yds soon
  4. Index finger for me at the start of transition to next location. Mag insertion as my run slows down.
  5. Watch Jerry Miculek’s YouTube on how to speed shoot. He goes over in depth all of his mechanics and reasons behind his grip! it has helped us immensely! He’s a legend
  6. Custom rounds is the best reason to get back into reloading, followed by savings over inflated ammo prices! primers are coming back down to realistic prices
  7. gotcha. Ya i can get between 23-24 in there. And even if i can get the 24th in, if I Barney load at make ready, its so tight the slide can’t rack that first round properly. what other basepad/springs do you have good experience with? I might just make it a dedicated +6 and change the spring and follower over to an MBX if i can.
  8. I have the SRO on my slide and I’m very happy with it! I hope to try the 507Comp this weekend
  9. That makes sense. I never thought about sending them back. I’ll reach out to them this week! Thanks
  10. As for my g17, I’m still rocking a polished factory Glock trigger that I’ve got down to about 4 lbs. ive been on the fence between a Vanek comp trigger or a Johnny Glock comp trigger. I think I may ultimately go with a Vanek. He’s an older gentleman who doesn’t spend any money on marketing so finding reviews is a bit of a struggle but the ones I have found definitely rant and rave about them. And being able to speak personally with him means a bunch especially if i run into problems during setup.
  11. My 16 year old son uses it in my/his match dedicated g17 for carry optics. It took him a minute to learn it on a static range but he’s doing quite well with it. The easy takeup to the very light wall was something he has to find because that wall can easily be passed up if you’re not aware of it.
  12. yes they came with a second spring which I’ll use for the next match. What specifically aren’t you impressed with on these base pads? For the new spring i think i may forego loading a full mag for 24 hours in the interest of keeping the spring power and memory.
  13. So i have a pair of Team AC Design g17 base plate, spring and follower kit. We are new to the sport (USPSA) but not new to shooting. The spring in one of my mags basically failed in our second match this past weekend. It basically wouldn’t decompress and feed ammo. Are these springs pretty much dead at this point? I’ve seen other shooters disassemble their MBX mags to clean them and stretch their springs. I’ve owned Glocks for 25 years and have never had to do this to my factory mags. should i toss the spring and replace and if so what are the best springs in the aftermarket Glock mag business? These baseplates are +7 and turn a factory 17 into a 24 rounder and stay within the 140mm gauge. One occasion I’ve been able to feed 25 but it wouldn’t chamber correctly. thanks in advance.
  14. Anyone have any luck buying anything from MG lately? I’m down to my last 2 cases of 124gr JHPs but these were purchased several years ago.
  15. Getting ready to purchase a Rock Island framed custom 2011 open. I believe I read somewhere they take Para mags? I've also read on here some folks have not had any issues with using STI/MBX style mags. Gun is chambered in 9mm major. What do you think? Or should I just purchase Para style mags?
  16. Man those sure are nice looking pistols! And they take Glock mags!
  17. Hey there folks, been lurking on and off for 15 years. Been reloading for about 16 years as well. Have a Dillon 550 reloading 9mm and 223 Finally signed up here after shooting my first uspsa match.
