PistolPete
I'm curious what bullet weight and style people are using to make Major for IPSC in a race gun. I'm going to be buying a new race gun and am trying to figure what combination of components I'll also be needing. What bullet brand are you using also? Thanks in advance, Pete
Too_Slow
I use a 125 HAP ( Hornaday Action Pistol ). It is described as an XTP without the petal cuts. I get them from Midway.
uscbigdawg
115 grain CMJ from Montana Gold Bullets I used to use 124's, but wanted more gas pressure to work the ports and comp better. They were 124gr. CMJ's again from MGB. I'll be trying their 121gr. bullets when I get back home. BTW, the pistol shoots .5" at 50 yards. Gotta love Rusty Kidd. SPC Richard A. Ray_Z
I use a 115 zero HP in front of 9.4 of 3n37. I'm not flashing on a lead base and at 170pf I'm getting good accuracy and almost no flip from my Schuemann hybrid + 6 port comp. I load a Smirfel long (RCH is inappropriate with ladys present). They just feed better.
