sauza45
Looking to get a shielded ambi thumb safety. I see PT and Double tap has them, is there anybody else I should look at.
echotango
Limcat and atlas make them also. I have PT's but also just bought limcats. The limcats are a little lower, so if you have big hands they may not fit as well as the PT. Even after shaping/fitting. parvusimperator
Double Alpha makes one too: https://www.doublealpha.biz/us/daa-1911-2011-ambi-safeties-with-shield And Brazos makes a shield that you could have fit to your frame: http://www.1911store.com/thumbguardbcg.aspx

sauza45
The Double Alpha looks good but it says it’s a Mim part. Wonder how they hold up. I am leaning towards the Double Tap so far

Shmella
rogue tactical or limited 10 machine makes them too.
perttime
Rogue Tactical doesn't have them on their website yet. Better ask. On facebook, they recently advertised single-sided ones with oversized paddle and shield for shaping to preference.

I’ve seen that happen to two double tap safeties. There simply isn’t enough material near the pin.
