Deformed SS guide rod on Accu Shadow

Hey y'all : ) I was wondering if this is an issue of concern...
I have an Accu shadow guide rod that is showing some peening on the head (back).  The first owner of the gun put 1500 rounds through it and I do not know hat power factor ammo he used.

Looks like some significant deforming, however the frame and the barrel lug do NOT exhibit any sign of damage.  I guess that is good  I'd rather the SS guide rod take the beating.  You guys think this is an issue?  Is this normal?

I am half tempted to replace the guide rod with a cheap plastic one.  Will it work on the Accu Shadow?

Otherwise the pistol shoots pretty dern fantastic. : )

I'd call up CZC and ask them. I'd also buy another stainless one.  Is there a chance it was damaged another way?  Dropped and then ran over?  I've never had that in any of my cz's and they all had stainless guiderods.

Well 1 out of 3 is not too bad : ) wespac78, if yours does the same thing then I will take your word for it.  Feeling a little less worried.
My guide rod came that way from CZC. I have shot thousands of rounds through it with zero issues.

You guys are awesome, I sincerely appreciate y'all taking the time to respond as it was bothering me, but I can rest easier now : )

The frame looks undamaged so I have no issue with the rod taking the beating.

Well dang, guess I learned something.  If mine start doing that, I'll know not to worry about it.

Now we have Brad worried because his are NOT peening!  LOL!

Maybe you need to put some gunpowder in your reloads?  J/K

Seriously though, it is probably just a result of tolerance stacking.

if frames don' t have damage and  everyone is happy all o.k.

if this from shooting and not dropped on hard floor  every time that u clean a gun  that it looks bad.B)

look at tanfoglio  guide rod how  they solved this problem.

appreciate if u can make pic. assembled slide  from front   and back. and  place for guide rod in frame. and barrel from place that guide rod touch it before full assy.

I've got two Accu Shadows I've used in Production class the last three years and they have also worn the stainless steel guide rod the same way.   It's normal.

It gets worse if your recoil spring is too light.

this problem must be solved!

i didn't checked this in other guns but on mines with 13- 16lb r.s. guide rod  looks like new.
