RevolverJockey
Just wondering what the going price for an unforced Czechmate is. I found one for sale and am considering it. The price seems too low though and I doubt these do well shooting minor. What have you seen these going for? Lee
selecw
I paid $2100 used (reduced from $2400 in a store sale).
RevolverJockey
So new, $2,000 + shipping isn't a great price to try one out if you aren't sure you need one? I have seen a TSO and TS in person, just not a CM.

RevolverJockey
Sadly my state requires sales tax on such things and I have a TS en route that I haven't even seen yet. I suppose I could get both and keep just one.
kneelingatlas
1 hour ago, RevolverJockey said: I doubt these do well shooting minor. The Czechmate comes with two muzzle devices: a four port comp and a front sight block. For factory ammo or Production style minor loads (3ish grains of fast powder under a 147gr bullet), the front sight block is the way to go, but 8-9gr of slow powder under a 95-115gr bullet will shoot awesome with the four port comp. Gooldylocks
A new CM goes for 2950-3100 depending on vendor. For 2k that is pretty cheap.
RevolverJockey
So tempting. I have a literal mountain of 124gr LRN 130 PF ammo. So if I wanted to try out minor open, is there really any advance to shooting a CM over mounting a scope on my TS? RevolverJockey
Thanks. I don't know if it is as much "want" to shoot that ammo, but at $40/1,000 for ammo it makes a pretty convincing argument. Any chance someone in central WA has one I could do a little show and tell with?
LegionShooter
At that price you could buy it just in case you want to try open later. That place doesn't happen to have a TS Orange in .40 do they? I'm in the market.
RevolverJockey
Sorry they don't. Only ones I have seen are the ones online and they are in the $1,650 range.

abb1
Make sure that it is the new design! The new Czechmates have the checkering identical to the Shadow 2's where the old design has the 'bumps' as seen on a standard TS design.
Darqusoull13
Wait, when did that checkering change happen? I need a Czechmate now.
Lior
Just for fun, I'll share some info: last year I bought a brand new CzechMate for $5000 where I live. Money exceedingly well spent IMO.

I am not too sure of the date, but I seen one at the CZ booth at the Canadian Nationals. I inquired about it and they said that it is the new grip design. Wolverine Supplies in manitoba Canada have one in stock and it has the new checkering, so they are available now!

I emailed CZ about this back in April about this exact upgrade to the CM but was told there were no plans. I guess they just run a tight ship. You just made my day, THANK YOU!!! Tommytwogunz
Not strictly CM but DLhunting in RI has Parrots in stock at $US3,300 or so. Hard to believe a new CM for $US2k, more like 2.7K at best.
