shooter.860
Rule changes in CO division and my state's ban on hi cap mags screws me. removing Romeo sight still won't be legal for production ? Does Sig sell replacement slides ?
BASE772
As far as I've known SIG will not sell just a slide. Would have to buy a conversion kit. At that point I'd just buy another pistol.
JAFO
Is there a machine shop that can make a cover plate for you? At that point, it would be no different than a Walther Q5 Match or a Glock MOS.

JAFO
Side question, if you are in a capacity limited state, won't all the CO shooters be shooting 10-rd mags, or do you live in CT and shoot elsewhere? From a classification standpoint, capacity won't really matter much. Edited January 30, 2017 by JAFO
shooter.860
I live in CT but we dont have any active USPSA clubs so I shoot outside the state. Yes in capacity limted states we would revert to following the laws. I was going to go shoot the Nats with this gun but that wont happen now with the disadvantage. Interesting idea on milling a plate.
MikeA
bummer, but i would just sell the entire gun and buy another. resale is strong 320s especially an rx
alma
Would it be possible to borrow mags for Nationals?
BritinUSA
You would only need two standard capacity mags to be competitive. Buy them at the match and sell them afterwards before you leave. You will probably only be out a few dollars on the resale.
MemphisMechanic
Taking that further, if you keep your CO mags with a friend who brings them to the local matches and takes them home with him, you could shoot full-capacity there too. You can own standard cap mags in a friendly state, they just can't travel into CT.
Mosig
eBay has 320 slides from time to time. I think there's 2 compacts on there right now.

valerko
it's not standard capacity magazine , if you take it apart , then those are just magazine parts , Look into actual wording of the new law .There's more then one way to limit capacity
terrydoc
So in USPSA the P320 RX without the Romeo 1 cant be used in Production is that what Im reading? Interesting as in IPSC it is an approved Production gun without Optic, but you can't put a cover plate on it, it seems. Jet1945
Info: NXGEN Tactical makes a hard plastic cover for the RX slot. They supply the cover, screw hardware and allen wrench: $14.99. I have no interest with them just a satisfied customer. https://www.nxgentactical.com Edited September 21, 2017 by Jet1945
CHLChris
@mreed911's point was not just that a cover is necessary, but that the RX model is not on the Production list at all, without regard to whether you have a plate or not. And a plastic plate? I know the weight difference is negligible between steel and plastic on a plate that teeny size, but wouldn't a plastic plate be against the rules for changing weight by milling? Joe4d
The RX is a full size,, Sigs page calls it a 320 full size which is on the list. If USPSA didnt see it that way then the gun wouldnt be legal for CO either. id be shocked if an email to HQ didnt rule that way.

Given the recent change to include Canik's TP9 SFX in the Production gun list I tend to agree with Joe4d now, the 320RX is probably covered under the Full Size designation in the list.
