  1. The NCO's (SGT of the Guard) and Officers wear sidearms and do not carry rifles. Hit YouTube and watch any of the Changing of the Guard and you will see the SOG wearing a sidearm.

Understand your problem, but it shouldn't be that hard if you have a pic to slip between the inner edge of the cap and the battery. The pic could be a wooden toothpick or something similar in thinness. Also the cap is a bit flexible and if you grip the circumference and press down on the middle of the cap where the slot is that should help get to out.
  3. I posted this on the other thread. The screws are 6-48 x 0.350. The are available at Brownells for about $10 plus shipping for a 12-pak. Additional info - the torque on the screws should be 28 +-2 in lbs.

  5. I have the exact same point of wear as shown in the picture in my X5. I have about 3.5k rounds since upgrade. I also have a pronounced "silver" track along the slide from the disconnect divot forward. In cleaning, I lay a track of Lucas Grease along that track and a dab in the divot. I have occasionally had the slide fail to return to battery by about ⅛". To be clear, I don't know for sure that the Puppet Head is hanging up in the worn screw hole as shown in the picture, but I suspect it is. As a note: I "stole" your picture and posted the same question on SIGTALK to see if anyone there has seen this type of wear.

    P320 X5 Thread

The screws for the Romeo 1 are torqued at 28 in-lbs. +-1 or so. I imagine that if you use approximately the same for the plate things will be ok.
  7. Have two: 3 MOA and 6 MOA. 3000 rds on 320 RX with 3 MOA. No problems. No dings on shroud. Using LAX and Freedom 9mm Reloads and 14# spring. After sighing in have had occasion to remove and reinstall - only needed minor adjustment in azimuth. 1500 rds on 320 X-Carry with 6 MOA. All the same. Very pleased with both. I have a third 3 MOA (NIB) with Picatinny Rail mounts for sale. Have longer screws to permit disassembly and mounting of basic sight on any X-series 320.
  8. Can the SIG 365 be considered a serious BUG for competition and actual use? Also for anyone who knows the "Innards" of the gun - Does the FCU have the same modifications as the regular 320 to handle the mechanical disconnector; is the slide knotched (divot) like the 320 to handle the "puppet" head?
  9. There was another video clip from a SIG Optics guy taken by a show attendee. He called the new sight the Romeo 1T - unfortunately the video did not have any close up frames. Added Sorry, went back and looked and couldn't find it on Facebook. I did leave a post in the FB SIG Electro-Optics page asking about the Romeo 1T - Will let you know.

    X FIVE in 40?

Went back and did a quick check to verify - Bar-Sto is offering 320X5 barrels in .40 (and other calibers). Wouldn't be production but you'd get you .40 320X5.
  11. I got my X5 back last week - as far as I could tell it is the same trigger plus everything that SIG has written / told is that for the X-Series 320s - the physical Trigger is NOT changed nor is the Striker assy changed (it is already the lightweight [skeltonized] striker).
  12. Got my X5 back on Friday. Same slide and parts. Upgrade as advertised. The trigger seemed a bit smoother with no grittiness. Measured the pull with a Lyman gage and it was within fractions an ounce of what it was before. I'm happy. X-carry next when I get the paperwork.

    WTB P320 X5

Have you checked / called the Sig Pro Shop? That is where I ordered mine. I placed the order the end of July and received in mid-August.
  15. Best I can figure it is order that was enrolled on web site list. Got mine last night for an X5. Registered my X-Carry a month after the X-5 - will see when that one come in. I am still "stuck" with an RX that I sent to Gray Guns for the Competition Package - GGI has yet to answer up on how that will be handled; through them or special to SIG as a GGI modified 320.

    P320 X5 Thread

I have registered my X5 (did it right when it started) - I will note any change after I eventually get it back, but I am intending to send it on to Gray Guns after the upgrade anyway. I alreaady have my RX sorta trapped with the GG competition package and a reliable 3.8 lb pull. I have no idea how GG and Sig will work out things to get the gun upgraded. Regardless, I am continung to shoot all my 320's and enjoying the heck out of it. There have been rumblings at the local IDPA about maybe not allowing a non-upgraded 320. I have ignored all of that and kept on.
  17. It's the "Good" part that always bites me on the butt though. Gordy - can you confirm that it would or will work with the 320 RX and X5. Specifically, what I am asking is can the slide be made to sit far enough back with the appropriate shoe so that the wedge block that would move a Front Sight won't distort or bend the FS. - Thanks.
  18. Has anyone found a good sight pusher that will work relaibly on the 320 particularly on the front sight? I have several pushers including the SIG one for the Classic pistol series. Both it and a "universal" one can't get the sight wedging block far enough forward on the FS body to move it without bending or distorting it. The basic problem is the guide rod housing on the slide extends too far back (rear) on the slide to allow the slide to sit back and be clamped properly. Thanks.
  19. Info: NXGEN Tactical makes a hard plastic cover for the RX slot. They supply the cover, screw hardware and allen wrench: $14.99. I have no interest with them just a satisfied customer. https://www.nxgentactical.com
  20. On my RX the screws were 6-48 by 0.350. They also worked when I ported over to an X5. Hope this helps

BC27 - Thanks for the details - a couple of pics would also be great.
