stickboy44
How aggressive is the checkering on the Henning grips?
Aggie
It's pretty darn aggressive. If you've used the EGD grips, I'd say they're similar. They won't chew up your hands like the CZ lemon graters, though.
stickboy44
I have the factory grips on my S2 now but i was looking at the Henning grips and wanted to make sure the checkering is aggressive. I got some othe people's opinion on grips and most of them said they liked the Henning grips thickness. Most people said the EGD grips were to thin. Aggie
I agree the EGD grips are too thin, for me anyway. The Henning grips are too thin for me also but are the best compromise between the factory and EGD grips.
johnbu
Henning has a code "happy20" to get 20% 0ff. Makes the grips 92$ delivered. They are the best grips out there now (in my opinion anyway).

pfcchambers
I could not resist and ordered me a set of the blood red for my Limited. Question for you all I have a match with the Canyon Creek welded on magwell. What size grips would be the closest fit for that gun with the magwell? Limited/Custom or would match fits be closer and I just might have to trim them? I was not sure so for now so I have not ordered any grips for the match yet. Thanks if anyone knows I appreciate it. I don't think any will "fit" out of the box. Best guess is the match grips cut to size and refinished.
BrazeauRacing
CC magwell on a Match with Henning's older grips for Stock2/Stock3/LimPro. Slight gap at the bottom.
bayougump
Has anyone used both the Henning and the "scale" grips? I've never shot any of my Tanfos with Henning and wonder how the thickness/width compares to the scales?
Aggie
Gump, I've used both sets of grips and the Henning grips are noticeably thinner and don't have the palm swell that scales do.
bulm540
Not a direct comparison but I tried a friend's CZ with the scales and it felt like the bottom half of the grip felt pretty thick due to the palm swells. Went with a Henning grips.
BeerBaron
Has anyone used both the Henning and the "scale" grips? I've never shot any of my Tanfos with Henning and wonder how the thickness/width compares to the scales? yep. I've used the old henning 'curve' grips and the scales on my tanfog. I prefer the scales. The scales have more of a palm swell type shape to them. The henning has some (better than extreme etc) but still not a massive amount.
bulm540
Got the email notification from Henning. My order has shipped.
stickboy44
I got my new Henning grips today. I wish they were a little more aggressive and fit a little better. They feel a lot better than the stock grips! And they came with screws.
johnbu
Mine were shipped 12/3.... still showing as left Colorado and on the way. Must be strapped to the back of a foot sore centipede, cuz it's only a hLf day drive here. Oh well,
eboadway
My Henning order took a week, and a CGW order (3 day priority) is now at 8 days. Must be the holidays.
Czechnology
I picked up a set of the checkered henning grips in black. They still seem to make the gun feel blocky similar to the grauffel grips. I much prefer the scales grips and the palm swell that they feature. I will say the henning grips have very good checkering, they line up perfectly with the thread holes and are very well made overall. I still don't know why the checkering does not go up higher on the grips; it doesn't do much good for me to be that low on the grip for my support hand. If anyone is looking for a set of brand new henning grips let me know!

mrd
Good news for small frame owners! I asked, and Henning has a small frame version of the contour grips in the pipe for 2016. :-) I suppose the more people that ask for them, the quicker they will be available. elftech86
These are henning's latest grips. I think they are a perfect fit. Not too aggressive, and not too thick/thin.
waktasz
I like them too. Added some grip tape on the top though. Just two small strips. Don't know why he decided not to checker that part. That's where I'm putting the most grip force and need the most traction.
