When one is registered for the match, what additional information is required. I remember from the last series that we have to present a list of firearms with serial numbers and I think the amount of ammo we have with us. Do we need to submit anything for a pass to get onto the base? Or is that taken care of with the application?

Thank you

I'm a little underwhelmed with the lack of updates and unanswered emails regarding this match.

If it weren't the AMU and US Army putting this on I would have probably redrawn.

That said I'm sure it will be kickass given the who and where.

The communication regarding this match is starting sadly to look a lot like that of the recently canceled Seal Foundation Match. I have sent out a couple questions via emails and after about a week have not received any response. I am starting to think along the lines of should I or shouldn't I? with regards to attending. The squadding looks to be half full, but the site says the match is full, Daniel is not responding to a couple what I think to be important questions, I.E., Where do we get the weapons forms and is there any special information we need to provide for a base pass to drive in.

I seem to remember having to show up at the gatehouse during the day a day in advance last time with your weapons forms. I can't remember if we needed advance clearance for vehicles and people. We are essentially unescorted. When I work on bases, I usually have to provide make and model in advance to obtain a gate pass for my vehicle.

We have exactly 4 weeks and a wake up from today to first shot. I don't know about the rest, but I need to be on the road two days prior.

I am looking forward to this match and I really want to be in on the inaugural match of a new series. I think we all would like regular communications, I don't mean hourly or even daily, but once or twice a week just answer questions with a post here. Don't even need to email, just look at the questions that are asked and post replies for all. Many may have the same questions.

Hey Guys! I'm really sorry for the lack of communication for the match up until this point. There were some issues as far as what could be put out and when, but we are good to go now. So after the apologies...

The required round count is tentative at:

150 pistol

150 rifle

120 Shotgun

10 Slugs

The paperwork is being turned in so that there will be no issues with you getting on post with your competition guns and ammo.

There will be some pictures of the stages coming tomorrow, and they are looking good.

This is going to be a first class event. Again sorry for the limited communication up until this point, but we should be good to go now.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

Daniel

Daniel,

I have tried twice emailing you and once through Practiscore to withdraw from the match. I have not heard back from you through either method on this.

Could i get some response.

regards,

Bruce C

It still seems strange to me that this close there are so many open slots in squadding if the match is full. Unfortunately I am facing the possibility of having to withdraw due to business issues. Not firmed up yet, but I will know before Thanksgiving. I will really hate it if I have to drop out. All I can do then is hope that there will be a 2016 match.

Anyway, how about squadding up if you've signed up. Like to know how is going.

I also have withdrawn from this match due to lack of updates and responses. I have sent 3 emails with no response. This is unacceptable match administration. I have not heard anything in regards to refunded match fee.

Very disappointed but I hope this match is successful and repeats next year with lessons learned.

Good luck to everyone shooting.

Hey Bruce C., Nick S, and potentially Jim,

I will make sure your refunds get squared away asap. Nick S I'm not seeing your email (not saying it's not here just saying I can't find it) please resend and I'll make sure you and Bruce are taken care of.

For everyone else,

I'm sending out a email letting you know as well, but here is the first stage!!

We have a couple of more done and will be releasing them one day at a time, so check back tomorrow for the next one. We are really lookinging forward to the match and can't wait to see everybody!

Thanks for the patience,

Daniel

Hey Chuck,

Daniel, any word on hotels yet? Just need to get something booked.

The MWR is running anything not related to the stages or match officiating, so I will get a hold of them in the morning and see if they will get us a discount code somewhere ASAP (I totally let that slip my mind I should have told them we needed a hotel). Here are some good hotels if that doesn't work out http://fortbenningmultigun.com/#why .

See you soon brother,

Daniel

Just for those thinking about dropping out of this match. You will regret it. I missed the first Ft Benning match. There wasn't a lot of information about it and couldn't justify flying across the country. One of very, very few matches I regret missing out on. If you have a slot and give it up because you don't have some info you will regret it as well. Bring your gear. They will get it figured out. The Army isn't going to leave two hundred heavily armed three gunners standing outside the gate. It will work out. As far as why people haven't squadded. Who cares? I usually don't squad because I like shooting with new people. (OK, usually no one wants to shoot with me twice). The only reason I squadded for this was to mellow Jim out.

Short version is chill out. It'll work out and the match will be awesome. Daniel told me if anyone doesn't have fun they can take home a free Striker. (I might have made up that last bit).
