aahunt03
Any recommendations? I have used rem oil since I was a kid but it dries pretty quickly. What is a good alternative?
bountyhunter
For general gun lube? FP-10 is a very good overall liquid lube. Militec liquid is good lube but not good rust preventer. Tons of good liquid gun oils on the market, never heard of one that didn't work OK. A lot of people just use synthetic car motor oil or ATF. kmca
Don't know what you use it for, but I lube my Ultimate Clip Loader with Mag Slick: http://www.brownells.com/gun-cleaning-chemicals/oils-lubricants/dry-lubricants/mag-slick-prod7618.aspx Works almost the same as RemOil. -Ace-
I've used FP-10 after trying most others. Waiting on some Cuda Lube to come in from Shooting Sports Innovations, it's supposed to be pretty awesome.

Spiff2022
I use a product called gun butter for all my moving parts. I really like it, its not verry popular though. I used to shoot with the guys who made it in WA state, i guess they sponsor shooters now with it or something. anyway, link to follow http://www.gunbutter.com/
fishsticks
One inexpensive alternative is synthetic oil, Mobil or similar. I use CLP which hasn't let me down yet.
mgardner
20-40w 4 stroke synthetic motorcycle oil. For better corrosion protection I use some sort of engine assembly oil. It's cheap and works well.
