  1. You are multiplying by feet not inches. It's .42 feet which is 5.04 inches.
  2. The longer it takes the bullet to get to the target the more time the target has to travel and you need to increase your lead accordingly. Shoot the Bianchi mover with your 9 at 1150 and your 40 at 750 and you'll see the difference. At 15 yards the faster bullet needs a 9 inch lead if the swinger is moving at 20 feet per second and the slower one a 14.5 inch lead.
  3. What we try to avoid is providing opportunities to break the 180, coming close doesn't count. Besides, it's the competitors responsibility to learn to control the gun and not break the 180. Only go as fast as your training will allow and you'll be fine. If you walk the stages before a match and have a question about it you should ask one of the match officials and if they decide it's a safety problem it will be corrected.
  4. Make sure your gun oil and/or grease won't mix with the fouling and water and stop the gun. I helped one guy clean the fouling out of his gun at the WSSC a few years ago because it was a gooey mess and had stopped working. I gave him some Mil-Comm liquid I had in my bag and he was happy the rest of the match.
  5. Wait so you had a modern semi auto pistol with a full magazine inserted, but no round in the pipe----while holstered? How would this apply when revos are involved? Why the holy hell would anyone have this in their stage? If I'm carrying a gun for SD then you can bet your ass it's loaded----mag and chamber. I realize our sport is a game and doesn't mimic real life, but that is just stupid. Condition 3 is a real life thing if you are an Israeli. From what I remember that's how they carry unless there's an immediate threat.
  6. I went with the 680 Loctite. It's a maintenance repair compound and is high strength. Hasn't moved in a year.
  7. One thing I noticed with any moving target Bianchi included is that if I'm shooting my 40 with 155 grain bullets at 1150 fps the lead is substantially less than if I'm shooting minor 180 grain loads at 750 fps. At 15 yards the difference is enough to put you in the D zone instead of the A. It is important to use the same loads all the time.
  8. I cleaned and primed the slot and sight on my Tac Sport and used Green Loctite. It has never moved since. I know I will need to machine it out if it needs to be changed but I've done that before.
  9. Agreed. The stock mags worked great with my TS 40. When I went to CZC basepad kits I couldn't get any of 4 mags to feed reliably loaded with more than 18 rounds. Heard about the Grams spring/follower kits. I gave them a try and have had no issues with feeding for thousands of rounds. Now only if my CZC magwell would stay put when shooting... I just took the magwell off and threw it away. The gun is a doublestack so the top of the mags are beveled and the grip is beveled enough that I don't have any trouble getting the mags in.
  10. I've been running Gram's Engineering springs and followers and Taylor Freelance bases in my Tac Sport mags and have had no problems. I usually clean my mags after every match or sooner if I can hear little rocks rattle in them.
  11. I thought I was an A class shooter stuck in B class until I shot some major matches and ended up at between 61% and 70%. I'm all over the map on classifiers myself but they average out at about 68% and that seems an accurate assessment of my ability. It could be worse, I could be an A classifier shooter and get trounced at every match. LOL
  12. In video 2 you seem to have lots of weight on your heels and the gun tends to drive you back. Maybe a bit more weight on the balls of your feet and a slightly more aggressive stance would give you quicker recovery between shots.
  13. I've used 6 grains of HS-6 behind a 125 grain plated bullet and it shoots fine but is a little dirty. The recoil is different too. I like Titegroup best but it's hard to get right now.
  14. I can shoot most pistols no matter what the reach is but I notice that I can come off the trigger more quickly if my finger is flexed more which means I'm faster getting back on it. Probably why I can shoot my Shadow fastest.
  15. I shoot multiple calibers and somehow a 40 got mixed into the 9's. It made it into a magazine and tied the gun up during a stage. It didn't make it into the chamber at all ( the 40 won't fit the bolt face and slide up it) and was cleared immediately when I dropped the mag. That was when I dumped my ammo into bulk containers. Now I use ammo boxes and it would be easy to tell.
  16. The Mecgar mags seem to work the best. I had 5 of the stock SP-01 CZ mags and 2 of them cracked in the area of the feed lips and one cracked along the sides of the little rails on the bottom and the base fell off. The Mecgars look pretty beat up but keep going.
  17. If you shoot Limited you're set. If you shoot Production I'd get at least one more mag pouch.
  18. East installation and it's much more comfortable than the stock trigger.
  19. Oh I agree. But that isn't practical for a magazine, Internet site or YouTube channel. Then you will get the same unreliable reviews that have become an industry standard.
  20. Good looking grips. I'd be real careful when straightening aluminum though. Usually some heat will help but cold straightening will usually crack it or compromise it. Look at it under a loupe to see if fissures have developed on the leg of the trigger fulcrum.
  21. Eric works for the CZ Custom shop so the gun should be a shooter. I'm not sure if he worked for them in 2012. He's on facebook so check him out.
  22. Yep, guys that suck at reloads like Limited. I have developed some palsy in my left hand and kept cutting my finger tips off doing reloads in SS and Production, but I can still see so I shoot Limited major because the magazines are longer and there's less chance I'll be leaving blood trails. LOL
  23. Don't worry Lizz it get better as you get older. It happens more often but you don't really care anymore. LOL
